Ecosystem Services Accounts -provides baseline information for the different ecosystem services:

• Provisioning service- timber and biomass, food, medicine, and habitat for wildlife;

• Regulating services- carbon sequestration –evidently a huge amount of carbon is stored in the mangrove forests and biomass

II. Experimental Ecosystem Accounting in the Phil

• Conduct of comprehensive assessment of the current extent and condition of mangrove forest in the country;

• Formulate a mangrove-specific conservation, rehabilitation, and protection program; and

• Promote a value-based information of the Philippine mangroves through determination of its whole ecosystem services (i.e. provisioning, regulating and cultural services.
