IMPACT REPORT 2017-2018
Dear Donors and Friends Salisbury University can boast a number of changes over the 2017-2018 year but none that I am as familiar with as the transition to your new president I have met many of you since taking on the presidency on July 1 2018 I hope to make acquaintance with others of you in the months to come
I was not here for all of the growth and support the University has experienced
over the last year from donors and friends alumni faculty and staff However I can certainly see the results in the wealth of student scholarship opportunities available the strong commitment of our SU Foundation Board the energy and hard work of every faculty and staff member to give our students the very best academic experience available and the fervent voices (and caws) in support of our Sea Gull athletic teams across the spectrum I know that enthusiasm will continue next year and hopefully for years to come
While we translate the annual impact of your gifts into dollars for this publication it is much harder to describe the influence these dollars have on every student who receives a scholarship to continue or augment their studies with international cultural or other enriching experiences the special programs these dollars support which help us to draw new students to our campus to enroll each semester or the beautiful campus we provide which makes Salisbury University a destination for those from outside the region and the park-like cultural hub for our closest neighbors Every one of your gifts makes a difference and I know that you have many choices for where to invest each hard-earned dollar
Thank you for investing your trust and treasure to make Salisbury University A Maryland University of National Distinction Best wishes for a safe and happy holiday season and a new year full of impact
Charles A Wight President Salisbury University
