Globalization broadly refers to the expansion of global linkages, the organization of

social life on a global scale, and the growth of a global consciousness, hence to the

consolidation of world society. Such an ecumenical definition captures much of what the

term commonly means, but its meaning is disputed. It encompasses several large

processes; definitions differ in what they emphasize. Globalization is historically

complex; definitions vary in the particular driving force they identify. The meaning of the

term is itself a topic in global discussion; it may refer to "real" processes, to ideas that

justify them, or to a way of thinking about them. The term is not neutral; definitions

express different assessments of global change. Among critics of capitalism and global

inequality, globalization now has an especially pejorative ring. Globalization

encompasses a distinct set of changes, which can be studied from four perspectives he

labels world-systems, global culture, global society and global capitalism.

Globalization is a difficult term to define because it has come to mean so many things. In general, globalization refers to the trend toward countries joining together economically, through education, society and politics, and viewing themselves not onlythrough their national identity but also as part of the world as a whole. Globalization issaid to bring people of all nations closer together, especially through a common mediumlike the economy or the Internet.

In our world, there are few places a person can¶t get to within a day of travel, and fewpeople a person can¶t reach via telephone or Internet. Because of modern modes of travel and communication, citizens of a nation are more conscious of the world at largeand may be influenced by other cultures in a variety of ways. Time and space matter less, and even language barriers are being overcome as people all over the worldcommunicate through trade, social Internet forums, various media sources, and avariety of other ways.

Arguments for globalization include the following:

y  It is reducing poverty worldwide.

y  It is allowing access to technology in developing countries.

y  It promotes world peace.

y  It raises life expectancy.

Even though globalization may be a subject of argument, it¶s highly unlikely to endany time soon. It would take mass destruction of all modern methods of communicationand transport, in addition to all countries taking strong isolationist policies in order toreverse the globalization trends in the world.

No doubt globalization has bestow with so many advantages but in my opinion there onedisadvantage that it has presented that globalization has brought westernization andweakening the religious strength of a country and exposing its people to corrupting ideas.and other disadvantage according to me is They argue that globalization has weakened theposition of poor countries and exposed poor people to harmful competition. Their concern

is understandable , especially since the gap between rich and poor has indeed becomemore glaring in recent decades but on other part this can be also advantage for somecountries because some countries have become more integrated into the world economy, such as China, have made great progress due more economic trade and linkage.

I am agree with tha t it has also provided so many facilities like People around the globeare more connected to each other than ever before. Information and money flow morequickly than ever. Goods and services produced in one part of the world are increasinglyavailable in all parts of the world. International travel is more frequent. Internationalcommunication is common now. Goods and people are transported with more easinessand speed and the possibility of war between the developed countries decreases because

due to globalization international relationship has been improved and that brings friendshipamong the countries and that cause free trade between countries.

In the globalization media has played important role because global mass media connectsall the people in the world as the cultural barriers reduce, the global village dream becomesmore realistic and the communication between the individuals and corporations in the worldincreases. And I believe globalization is a positive-sum chance in which the skills andtechnologies enable to increase the living standards throughout the world. and due toglobalization international criminal courts and international justice movements are launchedthe standards applied globally like patents, copyright laws and world trade agreementsincrease

globalization is not a synonym for global business, it is much more than that but it alsoallow social activists, labor organizers, journalists, academics, and many others to work ona global stage. and I think There is a fundamental problem with globalization, which willcause international tension and trade disputes without arresting the process.

Globalization increases the economic prosperity and opportunity in the developing world. The civil liberties are enhanced and there is a more efficient use of resources. All thecountries involved in the free trade are at a profit. As a result, there are lower prices, moreemployment and a better standard of life in these developing nations. So I can say it hastwo aspects positive and negative but as well as my opinion is I think it is more positivelyaffected the countries and benefited the global village
