Topic: Identify demotivating factors for dropouts and how

to rejuvenate Residential Bal Vikas:

1. Migration and pre-conceived notions act as a catalyst for dropouts.

centralized team to regulate such practices should be created at Samithi

levels -Mrs. Kirti Mishra. (Guru)

2.As commitment in institutions depends on authorities; commitment in

Residential Bal Vikas depends on parents – Mrs. Sapna Srivastava.

(Guru)

3.Teamwork at organizational and Samithi level, consistency, home-

environment and co-ordination can help to increase Residential Bal

Vikas and decrease the ratio of dropouts. - Mrs. Purnima Mishra.

(Joint-State Bal Vikas Co-Ordinator)

4. Mothers play an important role in both encouraging the child for

joining the Bal Vikas and also in enhancing residential Bal Vikas.

Hence, mothers should be kept in continuous loop and Gurus must

ensure their active participation. – Mrs. Archana Mathur (Guru)

•The project has added several versatile dimensions in the Balvikas wing of Rajasthan. This rich and qualitative analysis has empowered the Gurus with the novel kit of group activities that can interest any Balvikas student towards the road of spiritual progress and thereby their self -transformation. •Balvikas classes are extremely useful for my daughter in terms of holistic development. As a parent, I have also improved in proper recitation of Shlokas, also I have observed the Balvikas Gurus speaking softly & politely, which eventually has left a great impact on me. Hence, I am also trying my level best to bring softness in speech and gentleness in behaviour.

INDIVIDUAL LEARNING

Vibhuti Ojha (Participant):

This project taught me to get in touch with the actual

issues at the grassroot level. I learnt that while

management is problem oriented; leadership is

opportunity oriented. The following are my takeaways

from this project: assume nothing, question

everything; respect constructive criticism; teach

others what you know; and most importantly practice

humility and continuous contemplation of

BHAGWAN SRI SATHYA SAI BABA’S assurance

“show me your availability and I shall give you the

ability’’ has helped me to sail through this journey successfully.

This is such a blessing for me to be a part of this beautiful

programme.my experience with Sri Sathya Sai national

leadership programme for Self-Transformation was

interesting and informative. I took in so much over the

course of the semester that I sometimes feel overwhelmed.

Every session brings out something new in me which I

never experienced. From learning how to speak in public to

overcoming the potential barrier of diversity, the class

informed me on how to transform oneself.

ANNEXURE:

Where Are We Now?

A significant commitment for implementation from all stakeholders

will help to address the existing challenges. This project would also

help to consolidate the gains made so far. Firsthand information

collected from Gurus and parents would help to develop a robust

programme. Tranformation will take place only if we collaborate and

create pools of teacher training and provide them with real -time

feedback on their levels of readiness.

How Are We Going to Get There?

A scalable and sustainable model would ensure the efficacy. Allow

students to take risks and be creative would open the pockets of

excellence and expertise. Standalone workshops will not suffice.

Consistent inter and intra school activities and relationship between

them is required. Try and have a pulse of the ground would provide long

– term growth opportunities.

How Will We Know We Have Arrived?

Track progress, Measure programs and initiatives, Document and

constructive analysis of feedbacks and most importantly every child

should realize that divinity dwells in him/her because that is the summon

bonum of this rich heritage and culture started by our Beloved Bhagwan

Sri Sathya Sai Baba known as the “SRI SATHYA SAI BALVIKAS’’
