• Valma is an e-forum offering an electronic participation service to the citizens & residents of Tampere.
• It offers easy access to official information and possibilities to comment early on issues prepared by the City of Tampere, and which require decision making.
• It is a tool for the city administration to get rapid feedback and involve as many people as possible.
• Valma started officially in the year 2007. It is one of
the results of the Interreg III C North project e Citizen.

• Involving citizens and their opinions to decision making
• Raising awareness among citizens that they have the power to influence thigns so it is worth trying.
• Goal is to give citizen possibility to have an effect to the services they are using in daily life.
• Citizen has possibility to take part of preparation and planning from the early stage. This is possible, because of good reporting in the beginning.
