At Dyneon, our goal is to provide you withdesign solutions to make your job easier– helping you with material selection nowso that you can avoid problems later.

Whatever your challenge, you can counton Dyneon to respond with dependable,high-performance fluoropolymer products.By working directly with our customersand exploring new technologies, you canbe sure that our fluoropolymers will notonly meet today’s needs, but futuredesign requirements as well.

Our worldwide commitmentto quality

Indicative of our commitment, mostDyneon design, development, productionand service facilities have achieved aglobal ISO 9001 quality managementcertification. One of our Decatur, Alabamasites and all Germany locations, as wellas the production facilities at Antwerp,Belgium have also received ISO 14001certification for their environmentalmanagement system. And, our Aston,Pennsylvania PTFE custom compoundingfacility has A2LA accreditation for itsquality control laboratory.

Dyneon™ PolymerAdditivesProduct Comparison Guide

Dyneon, one of the world’s leadingsuppliers of fluoropolymers, offers two families of polymer additives. Inmicropowder form, Dyneon™ PolymerAdditives dramatically improve mar resistance. In granular form, DyneonPolymer Additives offer enhanced anti-drip properties. These polymer additivesimprove performance in critical applica-tions for industries including automotive, wire and cable and building materials.

Wear Resistance

Dyneon Polymer Additives offerimproved mar resistance, a reducedcoefficient of friction and improvednon-stick properties when incorporatedinto resins for injection molded parts. They are typically added to thermoplasticand engineering resins used in theproduction of plastic parts such asbearings, joints and guides that aresubjected to sliding friction. Polymeradditives also increase chemical andtemperature resistance as well aswear and scuff resistance.

Drip Resistance

Polymer additives intended for anti-dripbenefits are particularly useful in wire andcable and building material applications. Ingranular form, when added to thermoplasticresins, polymer additives utilize fibrillationto significantly improve anti-drip properties, melt strength and sag resistance in appli-cations like wire and cable insulation andjacketing, tubes, hoses, pipe liners andhousings. These anti-drip characteristicscan help retard flame propagation shouldthe end-use part be exposed to extremelyhigh temperatures. They are classifiedunder UL94 V-0.

Benefits of Dyneon™ PA5931, Dyneon™ PA 5932 andDyneon™ PA 5933:

• High molecular weight granular fluo-ropolymers with the capacity to fibrillateduring melt blending processes

• Testing shows reduced drip and propa-gation of flame (UL94 V-0 qualification)

• Added melt strength, sag resistanceand viscosity during processing

• Increased die swelling

Benefits of Dyneon™ PA 5958and Dyneon™ PA 5959:

• High molecular weight fluoropolymerdispersions with the capacity to fibrillateduring melt blending processes

• Highly concentrated, fluoropolymerlattices allowing wet blending withother polymer dispersions prior to coagulation
