http://www.scienceyear.com/planet10/solar_preload.html Totally spectacular site about the planets.  Lets you explore the solar system (it does still have Pluto).  You can click on the different planets and watch them revolve around the sun.  You will see the other planets pass by as well as the sun.  The sun is VERY big for Mercury and VERY small for Pluto.  Helps students begin to get some idea of the distances, differences in size, etc.  Lots of factual information.  PLEASE NOTE:  Be sure to watch the moons on either the Earth or Jupiter.  You can actually see the different phases.  Very illustrative.  Then, you can go to the other part of the site, create your own planet and see it in the solar system.  You will find out what kind of problems your planet has.  Can you make one that will not self destruct?  Or, will a comet hit your planet.
