Images That I Did Or Didn’t Use

On My Music Magazine

And Reasons For It.

This was the image which i was going to use as my main image on my cover page. I tried to link my theme around this image however it was difficult because it is a full body shot but also because the text didn't go too well with the picture so i would have had to change my theme which would have not been related to the audience i wanted to attract.

I chose to use this image on my cover page because i felt that i could work around it. By having the brick wall on the background gave me an idea of having like graffiti writing as my text, i tried to choose the font as well as i could for the theme. I also cropped some of the photo out because it gave the magazine i better effect having only a medium shot of her rather then a full body shot. I also used this image as she has tattoos and the dress sense is more predominant for the audience which i wanted to attract, in addition she also has a very urban style dress sense which links with my genre perfectly.

I was going to use these images on my contents page so that i could have a variety of images and talk about many things. These images are all different but could be linked in my magazine in the sense that there pose is not girly or rocky or has a particular genre. For example the first image she is pouting her lips which is a more hip-hop look, however i didn't use the second image because her hand is in a rock sign but her cloths are not so therefore this wouldn't have linked with my genre of the magazine, the third image is not that clear and the background is not clear, however i could have edited it but i felt that i could use better images which would be more sophisticated for my magazine. The forth picture i though was a little too revealing which is partly the main reason i didn't use it, how ever i do know that it is fashion to have knickers n small top but i wasn't to keen on this image. And finally the fifth image i thought also didn’t match my magazine genre so i didn’t use it. After taking a series of photo’s i realised what my main focal point was and how i wanted my images to look so i dressed them and took photo’s and related it to my music magazine theme and genre.
