Relaxin’ Russ After 12 years in senior Management with RE/MAX equity group, the last three as the top executive at the company, Russ Newcomer traded it all in for some relaxing and a return to sales. A send off party was held for him at the Portland Golf Club on December 30 but if you didn’t get a chance to wish him well on his new adventure, you may find him still hanging around at the Canby branch. We thank him for his leadership during the critical transition after the downturn. Enjoy this new chapter!

One Warm Coat Drive

Vancouver Mall agents, staff, and family volunteered at Share House to prep their Thanksgiving meal

The Broadway branch again collected toys for the Randall Children’s Hospital Holiday Toy Drive.

Kylie Totten (center), the daugther of Sunnyside’s branch coordinator Kari Totten held her 3rd annual toy drive. With help from the Sunnyside and Sunset Corridor branches she collected nearly 500 toys for Doernbecher Children’s Hospital.

Agent Retirements

The RE/MAX Equity Group Foundation partnered with One Warm Coat to collect new and gently used coats for those in need this winter. Each branch that participated picked an agency local to them to donate coats to. As you can see they did a fabulous job keeping people in their communities warm this winter!

Holiday Help For Our Communities

Doris Cherachanko of the West Hills office retired in December after more than 36 years as a REALTOR, with countless hours of service to the industry. Enjoy your retirement!

After 34 years in the industry, Sunnyside’s Jean Burns hung up her real estate hat, confident she did it HER way. The branch threw her a Frank Sinatra party to celebrate her career. We wish you all the best in your retirement!

Bob Hoggard of the Hillsboro branch retired after more than 33 years in the industry. He does have his license at ERS to do

referrals so we may still see him around.

Chris Monty, Pat Brewer, and Tony Byers were just a few of the Suburban SW agents who once again made it a Merry Christmas for the boys of the Imani House.

Canby’s Becky Nugent and Susan Hull are members of“Tiny Bubbles” a card-carrying ukulele strumming, melody singing group of gals that perform during the holidays. Here they are performing at the Canby Rotary.

Lake Oswego’s Nancy Mason has recently self-published a children’s book, The Barrette Boogie, an imaginative illustrated rhyming story that speaks to the daily dilemmas of girls’ with long hair.

You can pick up a copy at Amazon or Powell’s.

When not selling real estate, she is also working on her next book, a family biography.

Holiday Fun Agents “In The News”

Vancouver Mall agents and staff celebrated the holidays together at the Marshall House at Fort Vancouver.

Gresham’s Michelle Carter and husband Barry rang in the new year by participating in Portland’s First Run 10K. The clock struck midnight and they were off!

The weekend after Christmas brought VP Alan Mehrwein, Foundation Chair Shar Giard, and Equity Home Mortgage President David Baker to a Blazer game to present a check representing the more than $42,000 raised by our agents and EHM for Doernbecher Children’s Hospital.

Vancouver Mall’s Terrie Cox was featured on the cover of RE/MAX’s Above Magazine Fall issue.

Donna Elliott of the Vancouver Mall office was featured in the Columbian’s Realtor Spotlight on January 4th while Vancouver Mall’s Lori Anderson-Benson appeared in the January 11th issue.

Agents After Hours

West Hills’ Joyce Kau and Lisa Pridgen enjoyed showing off the company’s sponsorship of the sign making station at a recent Blazer game.
