Iliad journal August 12 th / 820 B.C- Today I finished another one of my stories to add to the Iliad. Though now I have drawn a blank. No ideas come to mind but, also no stories. I sit here at my desk needing some emotion to put in my story, some friendship or heartbreak. I think to myself wars have heartbreak and relationships I think I shall do the Trojan War. Though how to start? How to finish? If I do the Trojan War I would have quite powerful characters such as the great warrior Achilles, and King Agamemnon. I shall sleep on it tonight and dream about my ideas until tomorrow.

August 12th/ 820 B.C- Today I finished another one of my stories to

add to the Iliad. Though now I have drawn a blank. No ideas come to

mind but, also no stories. I sit here at my desk needing some emotion to

put in my story, some friendship or heartbreak. I think to myself wars

have heartbreak and relationships I think I shall do the Trojan War.

Though how to start? How to finish? If I do the Trojan War I would have

quite powerful characters such as the great warrior Achilles, and King

Agamemnon. I shall sleep on it tonight and dream about my ideas until

tomorrow.

August 15th/ 820 B.C- These last two days I have been pondering on

how to add powerful emotion to my story. I would like my peers to feel

the emotion behind my characters and connect to themselves. I think the

best idea I have come up with is a friendship in war. It will create trust,

sorrow, and many other emotions on different actions the characters

make. I hope my story will give meaning to the way people look at spirit

and religion. I need very influential characters or characters that people

recognize such as a God. Maybe I should use a hero since I am writing

about the Trojan War. I shall choose Achilles the Greek hero of the

Trojan War.

August 16th/ 820 B.C- Today I want to go straight into writing my

ideas down. My emotion aspect will come from the friendship between

Achilles and Patroclus. I want much emotion to come from this

friendship. I want most of this story to be based around the last year of

the Trojan War. In the story it will bring much emotion if Patroclus dies.

Achilles will feel heartbroken especially if Achilles feels it’s his fault.

Hector will kill Patroclus with the help of Apollo. Apollo will wound him

while Hector finishes him off close to the gates of Troy. I think that

sounds fairly well. I will start writing since I have my emotion ideas. I

have to get utensils.

August 18th/ 820 B.C- I have started writing my fight scene

when Patroclus takes Achilles’s armor. After Patroclus takes Achilles’s

armor he will go to the Gates of Troy and disobey Achilles warning to

not go there. That will be when Ares sneaks up behind him and wounds

him for Hector to finish him off.

The main character I really want to focus on is Achilles and his

feelings of his friend’s death. He will suffer from the thoughts inside his

head thinking whether or not he will go back and fight even though it

will cost him his life. At this point He will decide to go back and fight

with his fellow soldiers.

This makes the story feel more dramatic. The way Achilles suffers

from his friend’s death and all the thoughts in his head. The city was

close to falling. If Apollo hadn’t intervened than it would have.

August 20th/ 820 B.C- I have now spent the last couple of days

writing my story and my ideas down. My story sounds wonderful. The

way it flows with emotion or the way it has drama and action in the

fight scenes. The way Achilles has much emotion about his friend. It is all

coming together very nicely. I have gotten ideas from my peers and

ideas from everything around me and the wonders of Greek history.

With this journal my story will now be shared with people of years to

come.
