Process of academic activities
Nature and involvement of faculty in academic affairs / improvements:
Each faculty member gets equal opportunity to become member of UGBOS,
PGBOS and Academic Council, by rotation
The Academic Council consists of all Professors and Chairpersons and one
Reader and one Lecturer from each Faculty, by rotation.
Chairmanship of the department is a rotational one.
Time bound promotions are followed for various cadres of teachers.
Nature and involvement of students in academic affairs / improvements:
Three categories of student representatives are selected by nomination on merit
basis viz. Academic, sports and cultural representatives.
Submission of project reports by final year B.Pharm students and the evaluation
of projects are done based on the oral presentation (OHP) of the project by
candidate.

Industrial training is being encouraged by the Department for B. Pharmacy third
year students in order to create awareness among the students regarding latest
technology followed in pharmaceutical industries, also pertaining to GMP and
GLP.
Mechanism/Norms & Procedure for democratic/good governance:
University is an autonomous body headed by Vice-Chancellor being appointed by
Governor of the State (Chancellor of the University).
Vice-Chancellor reports all activities of the University to Executive Council.
The Executive Council consists of experts from various disciplines and
representatives of State government also.
Every financial transaction is approved by pre- and post-audit headed by Director
(Audit)/Dy. Director (Audit) appointed by the State government in the University.
Student feedback on Institutional Governance/Faculty performance:
Self appraisal reports (SAR) of teaching faculties is verified by the respective
Chairman.
Self appraisal reports (SAR) of Chairman and Professors of the department is
verified by the Vice-Chancellor based on feedback from his/their departmental
activities.
Grievance redressal mechanism for faculty, staff and students:
Faculty and staff: Free access to Registrar and Vice-Chancellor of the
University.
Students Grievance Cell: Students feedback is taken by this cell constituted near
Vice-Chancellors office on weekly basis.
