24 HOUR EUCHARISTIC EXPOSITION Eucharistic Exposition is the first Monday of the month. The next Exposition is scheduled in the Basilica on Monday, March 2nd beginning immediately after the 8:30AM mass and continuing to the 8:30AM mass the next day.

“My name is Marita Stoffel. I am a young adult woman who has felt a call from God to be baptized. I am now ready to begin a period of faith formation in preparation for the celebration of baptism, confirmation and eucharist. I am in need of a parish sponsor who will accompany me during these next months as a co-companion on my journey to become a member of the Catholic Church. I need someone to help guide me and be with me through prayer, presence, and participation.”

ATTEND CURSILLO!
Cursillo is an opportunity to encounter more profoundly God’s personal love for you. Starting Thursday evening and ending Sunday evening, you will hear talks on the Christian ideal, the Catholic faith, and the Christian approach to the world. Cursillo also includes Mass each day and opportunity for celebration of the Sacrament of Penance. Over 400 Mission Basilica parishioners, men and women, have attended Cursillo. Many have discovered a more intense spiritual meaning for their lives, and are using their Cursillo experience to answer God’s call to prayer, study and service. Cursillo is held at Divine Word Retreat Center. Weekends are divided into men’s and women’s Cursillo. The next Cursillo workshops are: Apr 16-19, 2020 for men and Apr 30- May 3, 2020 for women. With just a couple of Sundays left before the beginning of the Lenten Season, Jesus’ teachings and his urgent delivery toward the end of his public ministry, remind us of our invitation to pursue true wisdom, the wisdom that is beyond this world. Jesus simpli-fied the law for us, but also made clear the implications of this simplification: what loving one another truly means. Religious Education classes will resume March 1st and 2nd respectively.

40 Days for life will be this year from February 26 to April 12. As you know, one of the goals during 40DFL is to have a peaceful, prayerful presence in front of abor on clinics
around the country (and around the world!).
The loca on that the south OC parishes we will be covering is the Planned Parenthood in Mission Viejo. The vigil loca on is on the corner of La Paz & Christsanta Dr.,
in front of Taco Bell.
We are asking “prayer warriors” to cover their assigned day and hours. Please try to have at least two people per prayer slot. Each person should commit to the same day
and me each week during Lent.
Everyone is welcome to come and pray on any day and at any me. The assigned day and me for Mission Basillica
is Saturday 9 – 11am

Silent Auction Donations
Needed
Please, help us get donations for the Golf Tournament Silent Auction to be held April 27, 2020. All items are appreciated and welcome. We wish to fill 40 baskets for the auction. Items can be dropped off at the Parish Office (Attention Rice) or at the Friday Lenten Dinners in the Gym. This event is sponsored by the Knights of Columbus. Serra’s Pantry-
Our monthly food donation bags are being distributed after all the masses this weekend. Suggested donation items are noted on our “Wish List”. The bags are available in the baskets located by the Basilica doors. Donations can be returned prior to the masses the weekend of March 7-8 and can also be dropped off any time at the Parish Office or delivered to the Pantry any Monday, Wednesday or Saturday before 12:00PM. Please be generous as our non perishable food inventory built up during the holidays is depleted and we are serving on average 75 families each open day. Thank you for your support of our efforts to feed those in need.
Eucharistic Adoration - Did You Know?
In addition to the First Monday of each month which the Parish has 24 hours of exposition of the most Blessed Sacrament , our Parish is privileged to enjoy exposition and adoration of Our Eucharistic Lord Every Day but Sunday ( Monday through Saturday ) from 5AM until 6:40 AM in the Basilica . Recitation of the Divine Office , Rosary and Divine Mercy Chaplet are recited from 5:30 though 6AM with the balance of the hours reserved for blessed Silence. At 6;40 the Blessed Sacrament is reposed to allow adorers attend 7AM Mass at Serra Chapel. Please join us. With Holy Mass, nothing is so life transforming than time spent in prayer before the Blessed Sacrament – Adoring –Thanking - Just Listening – Asking. DE LA CRUZ
Todos los viernes de la temporada cuaresmal, a partir del viernes 28 de febrero, las Estaciones de la Cruz se celebrarán en español en la Basilica a las 7:00pm. Estaciones de la Cruz en ingles en la Capilla Serra a las 7:00pm.
EXPOSICIÓN DEL SANTÍSIMO SACRAMENTO
El Santísimo Sacramento se expone por 24 horas cada primer lunes del mes. La siguiente exposición será el lunes 2 de marzo inmediatamente después de la misa de 8:30 de la mañana y continuara hasta el siguiente día a las 8:30 a.m.

Ya solo faltan dos domingos para comenzar la Cuaresma. Las enseñanzas de Jesús se vuelven mas urgentes mientras mas nos acercamos al final de su ministerio público. Las escrituras nos invitan a buscar la sabiduría que viene de mas allá de este mundo. Jesús simplifico la ley, pero también nos enseña lo que significa el amar de verdad. Regresamos al catecismo los días 1 y 2 de Marzo respectivamente.
Responde a la Llamada de Dios Te gustaría compartir y creer en tu fe? Disfrutas el trabajar con niños? Pudiese ser que el Espíritu Santo te esta llamando?
Si tu respuesta fue un “si” a cualquiera de las preguntas anteriores, el Programa de Educación Religiosa es el donde. Necesitamos catequistas suplentes, ayudantes y guías suplentes para el ministerio de la Liturgia de la Palabra para niños. Te proveeremos con entrenamiento y apoyo durante el año entero!

Nuestras bolsas mensuales de donación de alimentos se estaran distribuyendo después de todas las masas de este fin de semana. Los ar culos de donación sugeridos se indican en nuestra "Lista de deseos". Las bolsas están
disponibles en las cestas situadas junto a las puertas de la Basílica. Las donaciones pueden ser devueltas antes de las misas el fin de semana del 7 al 8 de marzo y también pueden ser entregadas en cualquier momento en la Oficina Parroquial o en Serra’s Pantry cualquier lunes, miércoles o sábado antes de las 12:00PM. Por favor, sea generoso ya que nuestro inventario de alimentos no perecederos acumulado durante las vacaciones se agota y estamos sirviendo en promedio 75 familias cada día que esta abierto.
