In 1868 The Strathearn Hydropathic Institute opened its doors.

iHYDROiHYDRO

We’ve been giving a warm welcome since 1868 – when my ancestors first opened the doors. Back then, hundreds of Victorians flocked here to rejuvenate in the therapeutic spring waters.

Today, we’re far more geared up towards luxury, relaxation and fun than the Victorians were. We have over 500 staff and over 60 onsite activities ranging from Spa treatments to treetop adventure courses. There’s also Scotland’s largest childcare centre offering guests six hours of free daily childcare.

Thank you for choosing to stay with us. We can’t wait to help you get the most from our leisure facilities, activities and everything else here. Read on for our most frequently asked questions and an overview of all things Hydro.
