Day 1
Arrival at Johannesburg airport and VIP reception
of Select Destinations Southern Africa. You will be
accompanied exclusively through customs and
immigration. After collecting your luggage, board
your connecting flight to Durban followed by your
private road transfer to your hotel. The rest of the
day is at leisure for you to relax and acclimatize.
Our further suggestion is a visit to the Mahatma
Ghandi house and dinner in one of the excellent
Indian restaurants (our recommendations are
always based on current and lauded restaurants).

TEREMOK MARINE
Located in a beach and bathing suburb of Durban,
this 5-star lodge offers peace, quiet and privacy as
its name suggests. Teremok is the Russian word for
hiding place. In the 1960s, a noble family expelled
in the Russian Revolution built a small summer
house. In 2003, it changed hands. The old part has
been carefully restored; The new building houses,
amongst others, a spa. Each room has its own
balcony with a beautiful view over the landscaped
garden and partly the sea.
Each of the 8 suites is individually decorated with
extra length beds, fans, safe, mini bar, air
conditioning, TV and DVD player, and ADSL
Internet connection. Furthermore, there is a
wellness and fitness centre as well as a swimming
pool in the well-kept garden and on-site parking.
TEREMOK MARINE
In einem Badevorort von Durban gelegen, bietet die

Day 2
After a relaxing breakfast, the vibrant and colorful
city calls for a visit. Explore the bustling Victoria
Street Market, step into the imposing Juma Masjid
Mosque and marvel at the biodiversity of marine life
at Ushaka Marine World. As a quiet and idyllic
contrast impresses the sprawling and oldest
botanical garden on the continent.

Day 3
Located a mere 2 ½ hours drive to the west, your
destination of today is the Kamberg valley in the
heart of the impressive Drakensberg. In the
afternoon, embark on a long walk in the Highmoor
Nature Reserve, which features wildlife such as
eland, reedbuck, oribi, jackal, serval and caracal, an
abundance of birdlife and trout fishing. At the end
of the day, exquisite cuisine and a romantic log fire
will be the perfect spoils to end the day.

CLEOPATRA MOUNTAIN FARMHOUSE
The Cleopatra Mountain Farmhouse has, under Richard and Mouse Poynton made a worldwide name for itself as a romantic foodie oasis and sanctuary. Located in the heart of the Drakensberg Mountains, this charming little country hotel is surrounded by lovingly decorated gardens and serves sumptuous food in a rustic yet stylish ambience. With only twelve unique rooms, the property is a gem for guests wishing to recuperate from everyday stress during mountain hikes, roaring log fires and seven-course dinners. Mouse has created the ideal atmosphere with the Copper Pot Spa, wine cellar, lounge and library, as well as creatively designed and decorated rooms and suites.

Day 4
A full day excursion in the sprawling surroundings
offers a wealth of attractions. In the Royal Natal
National Park: horse rides through the mountains,
the Mweni Cultural Village and the 948-meter-high
Tugela waterfall. The area of Cathedral Peak with
rock paintings of the original San inhabitants and
excellent hiking trails. Champagne Castle and
Monk's Cowl with breathtaking views. The Kwazulu
weavers mill and the historic Winterton Museum.

Day 5
During todays full-day trip, you'll pass through the
Natal Midlands, whose historic towns and
battlefields, such as Isandlwana, Rorke's Drift and
Spionkop, are reminiscent of battles between
English forces, Bure forces and Zulus. Upon arrival
at your Safari Lodge you will be warmly welcomed
and the program and activities will be explained to
you. The afternoon invites you to experience the
thrills of your first unforgettable photo-safari in the
legendary Hluhluwe-Imfolozi National Park.

RHINO RIDGE SAFARI LODGE
As the only private lodge in the iconic Hluhluwe-
Imfolozi National Park, Rhino Ridge is the perfect
choice for a first-class safari stay. Consisting of
two honeymoon villas nestled in the indigenous
bush and including a private plunge pool, eight
luxurious bush villas with large open bedroom,
lounge area, fireplace, mini bar, bathroom and
large deck, four safari rooms with deck area and
two safari family rooms the property lends itself to
all wishing to enjoy a memorable stay. For relaxing

Day 6 and Day 7
As exciting and varied activities, the lodge offers two
daily game drives in open 4x4 vehicles, both on
private sandy roads and on the Hluhluwe-iMfolozi
park roads. You can also partake in guided bush
walks, a visit to the Centenary Capture Center &
Museum, the local Mpembeni Community and a
traditional Sangoma, all of which give an interesting
insight into culturally rich area and the lifestyle of
the Zulu nation.

Day 8
After a final game drive through the park, depart for
the iSimangaliso Wetland Park: a unique wilderness
of pristine beaches and vast wetlands. End the day
with a spectacular night drive in the lodge's game
reserve under the tropical starry sky, looking for
leopards, hyenas, porcupines and other nocturnal
animals.

MAKAKATANA BAY LODGE
Makakatana Bay Lodge is the only one of its kind located in a dune forest almost directly on the lakeshore in the iSimangaliso Wetland Park. Built on stilts and adapted to the environment, the owner personally and attentively manages the property. In the main building, the spacious lounge area with bar and wine cellar invites you to relax. Meals are served in the Boma and on the deck, and the Bush Pool invites you to cool off on hot days. As a true boutique lodge, Makakatana only consists of 6 suites with air conditioning, mosquito nets and en-suite bathrooms with bath, shower and separate toilet. Other facilities include a minibar, tea / coffee making facilities and a telephone. The rooms and the main area are connected by wooden walkways, with your private terrace providing incredible views.

Day 9 & Day 10
Safari activities include trips to the golden Indian
Ocean beaches, boat and fishing safaris on Lake St.
Lucia, hippo and crocodile safaris, bird watching
hikes, and Zulu cultural tours. Bird lovers
appreciate the lodge, whose surroundings are home
to around 360 species. A bench positioned on the
lake shore offers exquisite views of birds and
animals. During birding season, the nearby bay is
frequently visited by hundreds of pelicans and other
migratory birds.

Day 11
On the last leg of your tour, you will reach the
gorgeous beaches of the northernmost Kwa Zulu
Natal. A time to relax after a multi-faceted and
interesting journey and to fully unwind in a truly
idyllic environment.

THONGA BEACH LODGE
On the unspoiled coast of the Maputoland, this is
the ideal place to discover one of Africa's last
untouched wilderness beaches. The 12 thatched
bush houses offer either ocean or forest views, and
the deluxe suites have ocean views and private
plunge pools. Its location on a raised deck amidst
indigenous forests in rolling dunes continues to
provide maximum privacy and minimal impact on
the environment. Natural materials such as straw,
reeds and wood give structure to minimalist
spaces. Large glass windows and doors open to the
fresh breeze and the sound of the sea. The beds
spoil with fine linens and mosquito nets,
complemented by a soft down comforter. The
bathroom at the Deluxe Ocean View Rooms has an
additional outdoor shower with ocean views. The
excellent cuisine can be enjoyed al fresco on the
dining deck or on the terrace overlooking the sea.
Day 12 and Day 13

Visiting a Tsonga village, school and clinic.
The spa with many treatments.
Guided kayaking.
Excellent snorkelling.
Explore the coastal forests, sandy beaches and
grasslands on foot.
Bird watching and tours on request.

Scuba diving to see flocks of fish, sharks and
schools of bottlenose dolphins.
The Open Ocean experience offers the chance to
discover marine life along the coast.
In summer, walks and rides in search of egg-laying
turtles.

Day 14
Today it is time to say goodbye. The return journey
to Durban Airport takes you through the heart of
the Dolphin Coast, nestled among green fields and
hills and golden beaches flanked by the warm
waters of the Indian Ocean. At the John Ross Bridge
and the mouth of the mighty Tugela River, head
south, past the small resorts of Tinley Manor,
Umhlali, Salt Rock, Ballito and Umhlanga.
Our representative already awaits you at the check-
in desk and will be pleased to assist you with any
