Omidyar Fellows seeks to cultivate the conditions in which Hawaiʻi thrives. Connect with like-minded change agents, foster cross-sector collaborations, and amplify the effects of your work with the skills and network gained. Curriculum – Spend 15-months learning to be a more effective leader and influencer for societal progress; hone your adaptive leadership by managing the self, energizing others, diagnosing situations, and intervening skillfully. Executive Coaching – Deepen your leadership and self-awareness with individual executive coaching, customized to your leadership demands. Individual Learning Excursion – Accelerate your impact and influence as a change agent with a tailored learning journey. Cohort-Based Learning – Be part of a community of your contemporaries; the context for transformative learning is community. Intentional Network – Join the Forum of Fellows, a network of 100 leaders statewide, dedicated to strengthening the well-being of Hawaiʻi – its people, communities, and natural ecosystems. Supports – Access to content-expert coaching, facilitation, seed funding, systems mapping, meeting and co- working space, and learning workshops. No Cost – The program covers all costs for participants, including travel stipends for Neighbor Island Fellows. WHAT IS THE OPPORTUNITY?
If you have the capacity and passion to be a leader for Hawaiʻi's future,
we invite you to apply.
We’re seeking a diverse range of mid-career professionals, with at least ten years of experience leading and engaging others, who are willing to commit significant time and effort to improve their futures and the future of Hawaiʻi. They should represent organizations and communities that are considered significant in the state, by size, profile, example, or potential for replication.
Candidates must be able to demonstrate how their achievements hold the promise of extraordinary leadership for Hawaiʻi in the decades ahead as well as the following:
• Demonstrated as a leader, courage, commitment, passion, and impact
• Addressed complex problems within an organization or community
• Developed a working style that incorporates problem solving, original thinking, collaboration, and innovation
• Earned leadership responsibilities beyond his/her years of employment based on a track record of accelerated achievement
• Demonstrated engagement in the community beyond professional responsibilities
• Arrived at an understanding of Hawaiʻi’s cultural, social, and political contexts
• Garnered the full support of his/her current employer

Apply for Cohort VIII of the Omidyar Fellows at www.omidyarfellows.org by the deadline of 12 Noon HST on Wednesday, March 4, 2020. Only applications submitted by the early deadline of 12 Noon HST on Wednesday, February 26, 2020 will receive confirmation of receipt or notification of missing items.
