What does the Research say?• Gamesintheclassroom—Shapiro(2014)• GlassLab (theGamesandLearningAssessmentLab)designsandimplementsgame-basedformativeassessmentswhich,accordingtoSRI,“arebeingdevelopedinresponsetotheclimateofstudentdisengagementthatcurrentlyexistsinmanyclassrooms.”Theconceptissimple:kidslikevideogamesandthehopeisthat“byapplyingEvidenceCenteredDesign(ECD),thegame-basedformativeassessmentsaddresstheneedsofbothstudentsandteachersforreliableandvalidreal-timeactionabledatawithinamotivatinglearningenvironment.”
