Steve Thanks for making it tonight. Ok, in this weeks MAP (music appreciation post, underground newspaper) there is a copy of a fragment of music discovered during a recent dig.

HE MOVES OVER TO A SMALL BLACK BOX AND PRESSES SEVERAL BUTTONS. 15 SECONDS OF TIGER FEET BY MUD FILLS THE ROOM.

Steve explains. A recent archaeological dig on a piece of land once used as theatre, has thrown up this fragment. Unfortunately anything else worth finding was either deliberately destroyed or not officially declared. We know that other interested parties who wish to maintain the music status quo today keep a close watch on such activities, and where possible suppress free access to sensitive material.



Judy We are sure that there is more to find, we must be vigilant and try and beat Alvin next time.

Steve Trouble is any decent find, Planet Music buys up or destroys, nobody else gets a sniff. He has the resources we do not. So for now we can only rely on people sympathetic with our aims to give us what they can. A friend of mine on the dig liberated this fragment. Even saving this small piece of history could cost him his job and any prospect of another one.

Judy Brilliant where did you learn to do that?

Garth A few years back myself and a few mates got together and jammed a little, unfortunately planet music found out that we were getting a following and put a stop to it

Judy How?

Garth This Felps guy just visited one day and made it quite clear that his boss did not want any challenges to his monopoly. We pointed out that there was no law to stop what we were doing, he pointed out that may as well be, but do you see or hear of any other music companies, I think you get my drift. We told him to get lost and that was the last we saw of him until one night the hall where we were practicing burned down, with most of our instruments and material. He rest of the band didn’t have the heart for a fight and we just broke up, so even though this music you have found is great stuff playing it in a public place will attract attention.

THIRD TIME LUCKY THE VEHICLE CHOKES INTO LIFE, STEVE CRASHES IT INTO FIRST GEAR; A FACE WAS AT THE WINDOW THE BACK WINDOW SMASHES. STEVE PUT HIS FOOT TO THE FLOOR, THE VEHICLE BOUNCES OFF THE CURB DEMOLISHES AN OLD FENCE BUT FINALLY FINDS THE MAIN ROAD.

Steve Just a bit too close for comfort, we need to be more careful, must get better organized.

HARRY QUICKLY PARKS THE TAXI. JUST AS HE EXITS HE HEARS ALVINS COMMUNICATOR. HE CALMLY WALKS INTO THE FRONT OF THE SHOP AND RUNS STRAIGHT OUT THE BACK.

LISTENING TO THE PHONE CALL. ALVIN APPEARS TO BE HAVING A SEIZURE. FIVE MINUTES LATER ANOTHER VEHICLE ARRIVES PHELPS IS DRIVING.ALVIN QUICKLY TRANSFERS TO THE OTHER VEHICLE

On arriving Alvin bulldozes his way through the entrance. He doesn’t bother to introduce himself and makes his way to the room his son was in. No one tries to stop him.

Scene 142Outside the fake hospital room

ALVIN TRIES THE DOOR. THE ROOM IS LOCKED. ONE OF THE GOONS BREAKS IT DOWN AND SWITCHES THE LIGHT ON. ALVIN WAS DISMAYEDWHEN HE SEES THE CONTENTS. HE WALKS IN AND LOOKS ABOUT.



ON TOP OF A CABINET HE SPOTS A LARGE ENVELOPE MARKED ALVIN. HE RIPS IT OPEN. INSIDE HE FINDS A SMALL COMMUNICATOR WITH A VISI SCREEN. HE ACTIVATES IT. HE IMMEDIATELY SEES A CLOSE UP OF HIMSELF TALKING TO HIS WHAT HE BELIEVED WAS HIS SON. HE FUMES AS HE HEARD HIS OWN WORDS ADMITTING TO CRIMINAL ACTIONS.

The end of the message saysYou will be contacted in the next few days.

ALVIN SLAMS THE DEVICE AGAINST THE WALL AND MARCHES OUT.

Scene 143Inside a snack bar. Midday

Steve Overt to JudyI’ve had reports of Alvin’s goons harassing people for information. Best we lay low for a short time.
