Service Model

• Objective– maintain Session states.– a Virtual view of the server to the application.

• First step is to create Two Party Application Association (TPAA).

• Then services are accessed such as querying object set, getting/setting data values, controlling system objects, report manipulation, log manipulation, and file upload/download.

Step by step association between server and application.

Establishment of TCP connection with server

Application logs in to the server using authentication parameters

Server validates and creates TPAA objects

Services are requested and responded according to the standard

Application requests end which is responded by server.

• Key points-– The main enforcement of the policies of the server

is done through this creation of the virtual view by TPAA.

– There is no restriction on policies by the standard whatsoever.• For example, world-group-association is used in many

UNIX systems.

– This ACSI format is based on Object oriented approach.• Yet does not complies the same for internal

implementation.
