Berlin, November 12, 2014 India Desk, Berlin-Adlershof soft launched at the 3rd Indo German Investment Summit in Berlin on November 12th 2014, with Dr. Torsten Fischer (Country Director for JCurve) and Dr. Helge Neumann (Executive Manager - Business Development at Berlin Adlershof Science and Technology Park) interacting with key personalities from politics, economy, business and investment circles as well as lawyers and scientists from Germany and India. Dr. Neumann joined an illustrious panel with Dr. Aimo Buelte (Head of Research & Technology and Innovation, Airbus Group), P.S. Gangadhar ( First Scretary - Economic and commercial, Embassy of India in Berlin), Stefan Ritt (SLM Solutions GmbH), Dr. Andreas Waldraff (German-Indian Round Table) and Claus Warnken (Head of Division export control special dual use goods, war weapons control; German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy) The panelists addressed overcoming barriers in high technology in manufacturing (Industry 4.0, Automotive, Aerospace, Machine tools) and attractive Investment Destinations in India and Germany. Current developments and recently reached Umbrella Agreements between both countries have given a special impulse and support to bilateral projects in energy, environment, sustainable development as well as technical and financial cooperation apart from other traditional areas of cooperation such as Research & Development, IT & Software, Infrastructure, Law and Investment climate. The summit hosted a high-ranking CEO-level delegation from India led by Sidharth Birla, President of FICCI and some notable delegates from Indian Ministries, States and Organizations including J.P. Rai, Director General (National Skill Development Agency); Alok Kumar, Director General Employment & Training (Ministry of Labour and Employment); Dr. Sunita Chhibba, Economic Advisor (Ministry of Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises); R. Srinivasan, Director (TE), Department of Higher Education (Ministry of HRD)
