Live sound on the road that is powerful and emotional: as far as per-formance goes, the new amplifiers accept no compromises. After all, superlative sound is standard for all amps from AXTON.

Developed for pure mobile power and punchy dynamic response, this latest amp series lines up with great sounding Class A/B technology. A lot has been invested into the innards, the features and design of this new amplifier generation. Massive heatsinks of black anodized die-cast aluminum bear witness to the above average cooling capaci-ty, which is especially important at higher power outputs.

Compared with their predecessors, the new power amplifiers clearly have a better performance, not least because they use Sanken output transistors. Power reserves can just never be big enough and simply make up for more fun.

Using enclosures made of die-cast aluminum has made it possible to save space in the design, so that these latest models can be installed practically anywhere in the car.

Variable high and low pass filters, fast acting protection circuitry, encapsulated potentiometers and power terminals dealing with large cross-section cables: AXTON impressively calls on its love of detail here – this sort of design details is normally only found in a higher price class.

The internal construction is un-usual for this class: neat, techni-cally proven and well thought out. The best components guarantee stability and long service life, even under high loads. MOSFET power supplies provide for stability into 2 ohms loads. The amp sections use Sanken power transistors, a statement for good sound and reliability.

Power Amps X-SeriesEnd consumers that want to upgrade their multimedia system with a compact and sufficiently powerful amp, or even those that target concealed installation and cannot fit an amp of classic dimensions, will be pleased with this new mini amp series by AXTON. The 2-channel model A2100X offers a real 100 W rms x 2 power output or 300 W in bridged mode with a footprint of only 23.5 x 5.1 x 16.2 cm. The A4050X with 40 W rms x 4 is a truly grown up amp with audio-phile sound quality, that will not fail to impress listeners when driving component speakers mounted to front and rear doors. AXC Component SystemsGenerous ferrite magnets drive the AXC systems at high efficiency and guarantee the required power handling capacity as well as a rich, powerful bass fundament. Despite the massive magnets, which are protected from damage by rubber rings, these compos can be instal-led at moderate installation depths of 62 mm and 66 mm in many front doors.

Optimised features based on experience: the high frequency level and con-nection polarity can be optimally matched to the vehicle acoustics by a slide switch on the crossover.

The sophisticated assembly of the passive cross-overs has a long tradition at AXTON: components dimensioned for high performance goes without saying, but distortion less air core inductors and MKT foil capacitors make the difference. The flat enclosure with cover plate of brushed aluminum is a real eye-catcher.

Tweeter AXC-T25The technical and sound highlight of the AXTON AXC systems is the AXC-T25 tweeter, which is also availa-ble separately. It has a 25 mm titanium dome with neodymium magnet and a rear aluminum heat sink to ensure stable operating temperature. De-spite the 25 mm standard size, the tweeter is very flat due to the inverted dome structure and can therefore be installed anywhere. The AXC-T25 impresses with its clear, fine sound and its outstan-ding low directivity at high frequencies. Even in the case of extreme off-axis angles where the installation situation is unfavor-able, the reproduction is as good as if you were listening direct on-axis.

AXC-S Component SystemsOptimal sound, even in vehicles with restricted OEM slots – with the two shallow compos: they use flat, yet very powerful neodymium magnets. With installation depths of 46 mm and 50 mm, these systems will fit in practically any installation cutout.

AXC-IX Component SystemsTo make the installation even easier, these compos use very compact inline crossovers, which can be fixed anywhere in the car, thanks to the self-adhesive backing on the underside – no need to drill any holes or to remove trim panels. In spite of their compactness, the IX crossovers are assembled with quality components. The epoxy resin board with foil capacitor for the high range testifies to the quality; a switch for at-tenuating the tweeter level from 0 dB to -3 dB completes this convenient inline solution.

These unbeatably good sounding systems are available in all cur-rent Euro-DIN basket sizes – each in two variants. The models of the AXF series are equipped with powerful ferrite magnets, to which they owe their extraordinary bass power. For space-saving installations the AXF-S series is the installa-tion friendly alternative. Equipped with powerful, ultra flat neo-dymium magnets, these shallow coaxials are especially well suited for tightly dimensioned cutouts thanks to their small mounting depth.

Best sound around – with the new coaxial systems AXTON stays in pole position. Built for the toughest road conditions, these speakers can take anything. They stand out with solid design, offer superb performance, are ideal to install, and all this at undeniably attractive prices.

The coaxials adopt the premium equipment of the component systems, to which the specially developed AXC-T25 inverted dome tweeter also be-longs. Due to its extremely light, but nevertheless stable 25 mm titanium dome with carefully adjusted suspension, this top tweeter impresses with its fine treble reproduction and low directivity at highest frequencies.

The great strength of the new systems is their dynamic, detailed sound together with perfect staging and faithful reproduction of voices and in-struments. But that’s not all. Also in the bass range, AXTON’s coaxials quite clearly score with beats at high levels: no end of driving enjoy-ment – as long as the music plays.

If you are looking for sturdy, powerful rear speakers, then you will not want to miss out on these new triaxials. With the 6 x 9”/15 x 23 cm AFX369 and the 20 cm AFX200 model, AXTON has two very tough 3-way systems in its range that also boast a high efficiency and high sound playback level thanks to the large cone area.

Both triaxials generally have the same features as found on the coaxial line, but in addition to the 25 mm titanium dome, also deploy a 51 mm mylar cone midrange, which can be identified by flat midrange response and a love for sonic details.

AXTON’s triaxials rely on large voice coils – 38 mm for the AFX369 and 35 mm for the AFX200; together with the powerful ferrite magnets, they underpin the high power handling of the systems. The result: a dynamic sound, minimal distortion, maximum efficiency and convinc-ing sound pressure.

Ported Trunk Boxes Great look, impressive bass output and sheer efficiency, plus compact di-mensions relative to the bass pressure – AXTON’s CAB boxes have been the benchmark in their price/performance class for years. Till now that is – for the new AXB bass reflex boxes are designed to surpass the performance of their legendary predecessors.

Using the very latest simulation tools – such as Klippel system analysis and AJ Horn software – woofer and enclosure parameters have been selectively optimized so that box size, volume and relevant parts of the deployed woofers are perfectly matched. Bred for high bass output, the two new boxes convert 100 per cent of the woofers‘ magnet force into merciless sound pressure.

Due to the stiff and rigid low resonance MDF enclosures, the high-perfor-mance woofers are able to transform full input power into deep bass response. Equipped with stiff bowl cones and big ferrite magnets, the heavy-duty drivers combine precise bass and astounding deep bass levels with a fast response.

The compact enclosures come with reinforced walls and flow-optimized slot ports featuring unlimited acoustical throughput. This increases the achiev-able maximum sound pressure level upwards – completely avoiding air turbu-lences, for absolutely noise-free, clean, crisp bass, even at full bass output.

Active SubwoofersAXTON’s active subwoofers are the best choice of all for an uncomplicated bass upgrade: as an addition to an existing sound system, but also where you want to sacrifice as little space as possible and do not want to install a separate power amp. Powered bass boxes that combine amp and woofer in a single enclosure, can be installed in the trunk with very little effort and provide the bass extension down low, for a full right drive down in the low frequencies.

AXTON’s active boxes use high-perfor-mance bass drivers with a passive radiator, which is driven by the air spring inside the box, where the passive radiator assumes the function of a reflex tube. Passive cones enable low tuning frequencies and a bass reproduction that is completely free of unwanted port noise, even at highest bass output levels.

Punchy bass from a mini enclosure – the AB20A is another example of the rigorous, effective implementation of AXTON powered subwoofer technology. Equipped with an ex-tremely compact 140 watts Class D amplifier and a 20 cm long stroke woofer with passive radiator, this sub box is perfectly configured for controlled, defined bass out of a minimal 22.0 x 27.5 x 28.5 cm. This active box really fits into the smallest trunk. Matching to the vehi-cle acoustics is effortlessly done using the low pass control filter, phase shift and high level adapter the AB20A is equipped with.

The AB25A has a practical high level input with auto turn-on circuit: if, for example, this input is used to connect OE factory radios with no remote output, the amp module will turn on automatically as soon as a music signal is present.

RCA inputs, power terminal and fuse are located at the rear of the enclosure.

Phase shift, input gain and low pass controller are located on the front of the enclosure for convenient access.

Real protector: the woofer grilles protect the cones from dam-age by objects moving around in the trunk.

High quality: the terminals at the rear of the boxes come with spring loaded binding posts, to guarantee low resis-tance contact for the cables.

More compact is almost impossible – approx. as big as a DIN A4 page, the ABX20P can be mounted virtually anywhere in a vehicle, for example underneath the passenger or driver seats. AXTON’s bass machine is fitted with a 20 cm (8”) long stroke woofer with black aluminum cone. The high quality amp module – deploying a discrete BJT Darlington power output stage – offers 100 W maximum output for your enjoyment of bass. The neatly designed AXB20P comes with a lot of setup options such as lowpass filter, bass boost, phase shift etc.

All controls and terminals are located at the front side – for most straightforward mounting in constraint locations.

The external bass level remote control completes the interesting package of the AXB20P set.

With the AB25A, AXTON has an active box that is quick to install and offers an extraordinary amount of bass power. With 29.5 x 34.5 x 37.5 cm outer dimensions, the design is indeed uncom-promisingly compact. This active sub lines up with real acoustical depth: at 500 watts peak, the integrated full MOSFET Class D amplifier is certainly powerful enough to produce impressive bass pressure. The high maximum bass output therefore also makes the AB25A suitable for larger vehicles up to Van class. In the AB25A, a 10” bass driver works with a passive radiator cone tuned to 40 Hz.
