Debating Our first debate will be held this Thursday at 10.15am at the school. We will be debating against Sandy Beach with the topic being ‘Sport is all about winning’. We are arguing the negative. Our first debating team is Maddy (first speaker), Thissar (second speaker), Beau (third speaker) and Ben (scribe). Mural Over the last year some of our Aboriginal students designed and painted a mural under the guidance of Mr Skinner. While some students have moved on to high school some are still here at school. It has now been completed and mounted on the Year 2 demountable. The students and Mr Skinner have done an awesome job and are to be congratulated on their efforts.

$132.00 raised through School Banking in Term 1!
Thanks to the fantastic efforts of our students we have raised $132.00 for our school through the School Banking Contributions Program in term 1. Our school receives a Regular Savers Contribution of $5 for every 10 deposits processed per student as well as an Annual Contribution of $100 which is based on the number of students who made at least one School Banking deposit in the prior year. Saving regularly is an important habit to get into, whether you're saving a little or a lot. Keep up the great work and remember, School Banking day is every WEDNESDAY. If you need any help setting up an account or how it all works, please contact the School Banking Coodinator, Katie Pledger by leaving a note with the office. The more students we can encourage to save not only teaches a valuable life skill but also helps our beautiful school raise funds in the process.
