Surf’s Up!Officers can come dressed as lifeguards, in red
pants or shorts with a white T-shirt and logo. Bring or decorate cards with images (think: an-
chors, first aid kits, surfboards and lifesavers) to an-nounce weight-loss winners.
If you have royalty in your chapter, transform their chairs into lifeguard stands. Make a chain of life pre-servers to reserve seating for each winner.
An Indoor PicnicA sensible food function is a nice way to share a healthy meal at your cer-
emony. Decorate the food and drink to enhance your theme. Try making “Life-saver Punch” with sparkling water and a splash of cranberry juice, and then serving it with some fruits and veggies on a beach-y tablecloth. Read more about food at TOPS functions on page 12 of Making Your Chapter Great.
