Dr Steve Mackay has worked in engineering design, installation andcommissioning in infrastructure, mining, oil and gas projects throughoutAustralia,Europe,AfricaandNorthAmericaforthepast30years.Hehaspresented numerous courses worldwide to over 18,000 engineers andtechnicians, and has a particular interest in practical and leading edgeaspectsofmarketing,businessandengineeringpractice.

He is a Fellow of Engineers Australia and the technical director andfounderofIDCTechnologies.Hehasalsoactedastheauthororeditorofover30engineeringtextbookssoldthroughouttheworld.Hefeelsthatallengineering businesses need to think globally and keep experimentingwith new approaches.He is currently leading a team in creating a newvideoconferencingsoftwarepackagewithremotelabswhichhebelieveswillmakeamarkedimpactonengineeringtraining.
