PERMIT TRAINING

Mission Statement• To educate and prepare the Professional REALTOR™

with a greater understanding for personal safety and the legal use of firearms in the defense of human life.

– Course objectives include

• Provide proficient understanding of Idaho’s firearms, concealed carry, and self-defense laws

• Fulfill and exceed all Idaho training requirements for Realtors to obtain an Idaho CCW Permit

• Integrate CCW and the use of Verbal Judo into the current ID REALTOR™ Safety training

• Familiarize REALTORS ™ with firearm selection & function, holster and carry options , & practice

• Emphasis firearm SAFETY, SAFETY, and SAFETY

Why Realtors need CCW training

• Today’s home market landscape continues to change and with it the mix of professional REALTORS™ is in flux

– New REALTORS™ (with very little safety training)

– Part-time REALTORS™ (who may not maintain a safety focus nor keep up on current safety issues)

– Experienced REALTORS™ (who may have become lax or complacent in how they approach safety)

REALTOR™ SAFETY IS AN ATTITUDE

How is CCW training taught• Successful training relies on a good instructor,

developing report, and a LISTENING, engaged audience.

When it comes to training about safety there is no substitute for:

– Anecdotal and scenario-based discussions

– Presentation and instructor lead group discussion

– Demonstration of actual firearms, holsters, etc.,

– Participant & partnered role playing

– Hands on familiarization and practice

– Interactive verbal queues, reiteration, and partnered self-training of what has just been taught

– Questions and Answers entertained throughout

Essential CCW Curriculum for Idaho REALTORS™• Topics to be covered include:

– Anecdotal and scenario-based discussion of Idaho Laws and practices

– Presentation of NRA Firearm Safety rules

– Discussion & demonstration – “How Firearms Work”

– Discussion & group participation – “Safe Carry and Use of CCW Firearms for REALTORS™”

– Demonstration & QA – “Holster and Carry Options”

– Demonstration & discussion – “Easy Practice Drills”

– Take home materials and list of online resources

Requirements and Commitments• ATTITUDE

– Be willing to learn (After the class, you don’t have to carry a firearm, apply for a CCW, or change your view of guns). But you w ill be better informed.

• TIME

– Classes are held over two days.

• Day one – 3 hours

• Day two – 2 hours (Q&A may continue as needed)

• COST

– $35 per participant

– Copy of course materials is included

About your instructor• Reme Pullicar is an entrepreneur, inventor, BSA Merit

Badge Councilor, and Certified NRA instructor. At age seven, he was the youngest person to pass California’s Hunter Safety course. He was the lead architect of the CA Consolidated Firearms Information System in use by the Department of Justice since 1997.
