International Creative Services (ICS) is an alternative to the traditional production house model, facilitating an increasing demand for advertisers to produce their own content. Marketers are now driving their communications from within and relying on agencies less and less. This allows for truly integrated marketing, cost efficiencies and shorter communication lines.

Much like a broker would choose the right providers, negotiate the very best deal and make sure the whole project gets created, maximising the value in your dollar, ICS works on your behalf with full transparency (no, there are no back door deals with us).

Some advertisers are hiring film companies and other production services directly these days but these providers, although well meaning, are really working for themselves and are not always the best for the job. We pull together the right team based on entertainment category, creative brief, creative strategy, budget level and by deliverable type (ie - we supply different production providers for drama, factual, game show, children’s, event based content and additionally across TV, digital, social media, radio, internal marketing communications, direct response or print for example).

Anne MilesManaging Director/Executive Producer/ICS founder

Anne has 30 years industry experience across large multinational advertising agencies as Head of Broadcast Production, plus broad experience in post production, film company production services and also in visual effects. Her experience runs across the wider operational roles in these businesses with a specialty in creative processes. Much of the work Anne has been involved in has won many creative and effectiveness awards. She is also a qualified Business Coach and has additional training in Neuro-Linguistic Programming and Advanced Life Coaching that now helps bring a level of consumer insights to her skillset.

Brands that Anne has lead production work on include Holden, Ford, Toyota, Honda, Goodyear, Midas, Black & Decker, BHP, Blockbuster, Kraft Foods, Coles Supermarkets, Pantene, Defence Force, Transport Accident Commission, Dine, Macleans, and many Government department projects amongst the many (perhaps hundreds of brands across over $300 million in production spend).

Anne leads the ICS team and supervises all projects, regardless of the disciplines involved. Anne’s key expertise, though, is across the creative and video production projects and therefore will have a more in-depth role in these types of projects.

Iain KnightExecutive Producer - Long Form

Iain has more than 20 years experience in producing and commissioning high quality long-form broadcast television. With a background in corporate production and five years as senior executive at the ABC, Iain has produced documentary series including Lawrence Leung’s Unbelievable, Beyond the Backyard and A Melbourne Story. His event television credentials include AR Rahman for the Sydney Festival, Tim Minchin live from the Sydney Opera House and Stephen Fry at the Sydney Opera House. He has deep connections in the production houses and independent production communities across Australia and great skill and experience in managing multiple projects to successful, often award winning, completion. Whether it be branded or unbranded content, Iain will ensure it is engaging and delivering in all aspects.

Glen BIrznieksCreative Service Manager

Glen has nineteen years experience working in advertising agencies; twelve years working in the Graphic Arts Industry. Glen has spent his working life in creative companies, managing print related creative services. Starting out as an apprentice compositor, Glen has worked as a Finished Artist, Designer, Typographer, Studio Manager, Production Manager, Creative Services Manager, and Account Director. Glen has thirteen years experience on automotive account Ford Motor Company while Head of Print Production at J.Walter Thompson. Glen also has a long list of blue chip clients from his service to JWT, Publicis Mojo, The Bridge Consulting Group, and M&C Saatchi.

Glen leads the creative services production team and liaises with key creatives and suppliers to deliver on brief, on time and on budget.

Richie GeeHead of Sponsorship & Experiential

20 years experience in strategy, integration, sales/sponsorship, experiential marketing and BTL. With proven abilities to deliver results through his extensive media contacts (TV and radio) and major sporting brands (Australian Open Tennis, Golf and Basketball). He has strong relationships with major clients and solid connections with government (tourism and major events), sport, business and the advertising industry. Richie plays a big part in establishing and negotiating brand partnerships for ICS across any platform.

Hello. Yes, this is a bit different for the industry isn’t it?

Having been in the industry for over 30 years now I can see a lot of the wrong suppliers being chosen for projects, and advertisers being taken advantage of - either the wrong suppliers, the wrong approach or the client’s being over-charged without any additional value being offered.

Brands are treated like a necessary plague to the typical production house’s mission of getting their dream projects made. We’d like to change that, and create synergistic and collaborative work that is both creatively engaging and meeting brand business objectives. I’m passionate about doing something meaningful to close this gap between mainstream entertainment and advertising communications.
