Project Tune is an ecosystem, based on dApps, for the music industry. Tune will provide a platform where producers, performers and fans can interact with each other. The first decentralized app to be integrated with the Tune platform will be RecordGram (an award-winning platform for creating your own tracks). The main purpose of creating such a platform is to maintain control of copyrights between musicians, performers and producers through the use of blockchain technology and smart contracts. Tune will also incentivize all stakeholders, including music producers, songwriters, artists and even music fans, in the creation, discovery and distribution of music, by giving them the opportunity to earn Tune tokens based on their contribution and engagement with the platform. Summary: All of these platforms have similar content and technology. However, the key difference between Tune and its competitors, is its focus on the creation of an ecosystem and the integration of an existing business, RecordGram, with the platform.

Platform Technical Parameters

The Tune platform will be built on the basis of blockchain technology, using smart contracts. Initially, Filecoin will be used for storing content. For now, all data will be stored centrally in the InterPlanetary File System (IPFS) network. Raiden will be used for micropayments. The Tune platform, according to the creators, will be scalable. This will be possible thanks to the collaboration with Hyperledger Fabric. Later, API will be implemented to provide support for interaction with the various platforms in Tune’s ecosystem. In addition, a protocol will be developed in order to allow the following: 1) verification of interaction using smart contracts. 2) calculation of a participant's contribution to the ecosystem. 3) calculation of the reward (Proof-of-Streaming). Proof-of-Streaming (PoS) will be added as another layer to the IPFS, expanding the possibilities of data storage. The central part of the IPFS is Acyclic Graph (Merkle DAG), which allows the project to store data. Identification of the public key infrastructure (PKI Identification) is used in the IP network to identify nodes. IPFS bitswap is a data exchange module that contains the messaging protocol. All these components are part of the PoS. Thanks to the PoS, Node Hosters, people who manage nodes that place fragments of content in the network, and Node Streamers, people managing nodes that transmit audio and video, will be rewarded with Tune Credits (TUNC).

In order to make content safe, each track will be assigned a Fingerprint. For the DApp architecture it is planned to use MongoDB, Hyperledger Full Node and Node.js working with Docker Swarm, which will allow the project to scale easily and dynamically. Technological Description

The platform will have 3 types of tokens: 1) TUNE Token (TUNE) will be: – used to buy a subscription to download a certain number of tracks.

– used as rewards for active performers. – used to pay for placing advertising. 2) TUNE Credits (TUNC) are the internal token of the platform, which cannot be transferred outside the platform. The token will be: – used to reward users for viewing and distributing content. – used to provide financial support to artists. – used for payment transactions between musicians, producers and performers. 3) Content Credits (CC & eCC) are tokens that are issued to the members of the platform, when they pay for services with TUNC, and provide them with access to restricted or closed content. The Ecosystem of the platform will include the following members: – Performer — a musician, performer or author of a text. – Producer — the person who finances the project. – Fan — someone who downloads the app and uses it for content consumption. – Advertiser — someone who advertises their products or services on the platform. – Follower — followers of a performer. – Curator — a person who listens to playlists or creates a community of followers gathered around playlists (building a follower base based on curated content).

Technological roadmap

In the future, with the development of technology and the amount of data the project team plan to implement the following: – Q1 2018 — Platform development. Testing the use of the token.

– Q2 2018 — Testing the beta version of the platform with RecordGram integrated, development of the platform and protocols, and implementation of decentralized data storage. – Q3 2018 — Opening the source code of the platform.
