5.4 Check the ESS-A
Procedure
Step 1 Flip all the power switch on the ESMU to ON.
Step 2 If the ESS-A are powered on for the first time, initialization starts automatically to balance the voltage differences between ESU strings
Step 3 Wait 15 minutes until the initialization is complete and check that:
Typically, the initialization is complete within 15 minutes
If the voltage difference between ESU strings is great, the initialization may take 3.5 hours
Stay at the site before the initialization is complete
1. The ECC500 operating information displays that the battery status changes from Firston to Boost Charge, Discharge or Float Charge.
2. The RUN indicators on all ESMUs blink at short intervals (If an indicator blinks slowly, it is on for 1s and then off for 1s. If an indicator blinks fast, it is on for 0.125s and then
off for 0.125s.), and the CHG or DCHG indicators are steady on
3. The ECC500 displays that the ESS voltage ranges from 50 V DC to 57 V DC
