    SIGNAL REPORTING CODES

    Codes for use in the international aeronauticaltelecommunication service for the preparation of messagesrelating to monitoring, propagation disturbance and radiointerference reports

    1. A signal report shall consist of the code word SINPO or SINPFEMOfollowed by a five- or eight-figure group respectively rating the five oreight characteristics of the signal code.

    2. The letter X shall be used instead of a numeral for characteristicsnot rated.

    3. Although the code word SINPFEMO is intended for telephony,either code word may be used for telegraphy or telephony as may bedesired.

    NOTAM CODES

    If the subject of the NOTAM is not listed in the NOTAMCode, insert XX as the second and third letters.

    If the condition of the subject is not listed in the NOTAMCode, insert XX as the fourth and fifth letters.

    When a NOTAM is issued containing a checklist of validNOTAM, use KKKK.

    When a NOTAM is used to announce the existence of AIRACAIP amendments or supplements (trigger NOTAM), insertTT as the fourth and fifth letters.
