Competency AssessmentThe assessment workflow in iCALMS has four stages.

• Self Assessment

• Completion of Learning Object (LO)- recommended learning available for each competency

• Supervisor/ Manager Assessment

• SME Assessment

The employee undergoes three or more of the above assessment types, based on the predefined

workflows in iCALMS for each proficiency level (E-levels and L-levels) in each proficiency scale

(Domain, Process, Technology and Behavioral).

Of these, the first two i.e. Self Assessment and Completion of LO can be done in any sequence.

The rest where applicable, have to be done as in sequence.

This proficiency level requires

Manager assessment, after

completing Self Assessment

and Learning Object. It does

not require SME assessment Menu

The assessment workflow for a required competency can be viewed under the “Start Workflow/

Learning on iCALMS

Associates can use iCALMS to attain/ enhance their competency by undergoing the required training

as a step using various Learning Objects (LO).

Learning Object (LO)

A Learning Object is a roadmap to address the learning requirements of a competency at a certain

level of proficiency.

Learning Objects could be a combination of one or more of the following:

Internal/ External Instructor Led Training (ILT) programs

Web Based Training (WBTs)

E-learning

Online and Offline Tests and Assessments

Internal/ External Certifications

Associates would be able to search and register for Offerings made against the learning objects.

An Offering is an instance of the course and would be created by the Learning and Development

(L&D) group. WBT offerings are one-time offering definitions of the course whereas Instructor-led

offerings are created at a specific location, date and time as per the requirement.
