Client Copy Queries

Hi all,I have few queries related to client copy. I will be glad if you can answer this

questions. This will help others also. I know this is small question but pleasehelp me

1. If i want to do client copy from PRD to QAa. In which client RFC should be createdThis task will be done by Basis Team with the help of BW team , once client copyis done you need to change RFC in QA system, do not forgot to check Partner pro

file , you need to do required changes over there, also check RSBASIDOC and EDPP1

b. While doing client copy in which client should i loginOnce client copy done is done you have to login to QA

C. Is it necessary no user should login while client copy.As your are doing client copy in QA then QA will be down so no users will be allowed to login.

d. Can we schedule client copy in peak hours or we have to go in off peak hours

You can schedule but users/developers wont be able to access QA , good idea willbe scheduling of activity on week ends.e. Which method is good for client copy is Remote client copy or client import or export.f. Is RFC is bi-directional.Remote Client copy will be good.

2. If i want to do client copy from PRD to DEV what are the steps i have to follow.

Basically BW consultant dont required any steps to perform while doing client copy. It will be done by Basis Team.But still you can follow below steps

Pre RefreshCollate the list of TRs to be reinstated into system post refresh (ensure the list is collated in sequence, and Check for possible issues with sequencing of TRsrelated to Global objects) (May not be applicable in your case)

Send the TR list to Basis for reinstating post refresh (May not be applicable inyour case)

Inform the users through system message-SM02 that the system will go down for refresh starting to

Put the system in restricted host mode and include the list of AMO users to theprivileged users list
