The Indian Association for Parenteral and Enteral Nutrition (IAPEN) is an organization in the field of parenteral and enteral nutrition and promotes basic research, clinical research, advanced education, organization of consensus statements about clinical care and quality control.

The IAPEN Symposium Series - Interdisciplinary Approach to Health Care with Theme “Bringing together doctors and dietitians to improve health through better nutrition” was hosted by IAPEN Nashik Chapter in collaboration with Associations of Physicians , Nashik on 23 June 2019 at HCG Manavata Cancer Centre, Nashik.

In order to promote Advanced Education in Enteral and Parenteral Nutrition and to facilitate the academic pursuits of more number of Nutrition Support Clinicians, Clinical Nutritionists, Nurses and Pharma from the educational institutions, hospitals and health care settings, we announce IAPEN Symposium Series throughout India.

The aim of this IAPEN Symposium Series is to promote young doctors and dietitians to take up advanced education and lifelong learning in clinical nutrition. The Fourth IAPEN Symposium Series consists of expert talks from renowned speakers on advanced clinical nutrition and sports nutrition.

Nutrition is an integral part of healing and maintenance of health. The symposium was designed for medical, nursing & nutrition professionals who were interested in learning nutrition assessment tools, early enteral nutrition, approaches to parenteral nutrition, immunonutrition, disease specific nutrition for fighting againist Iatrogenic Malnutrition. This symposium of IAPEN will provide a forum for multi-disciplinary interaction on Critical Care Nutrition and Sports Nutrition.

IAPEN also collaborated with BAPEN for promotion of MUST - Malnutrition Universal Screening Tool.

Aims and Goals of PEN organizations: PEN organizations are multidisciplinary society involving (Doctors, Dietitians, Nurse, Pharma, Patients and General Public) devoted to the study of metabolic problems associated with acute diseases and their nutr i t ional implications, malnutri t ion and management.

PEN organizations will create awareness and campaigns about Malnutrition. PEN organizations will help protect Severe Acute Malnutrition (SAM) children, adults and elders. They also provide financial support and also help government organizations to frame rules and regulations. India needs a powerful PEN society so that we can protect millions of children who are undernourished and malnourished. JOIN IAPEN and help advance clinical nutrition in India.

About Association of Physicians - IAP, Nashik Association of Physicians, Nashik is a prestigious organization of North Maharashtra. It's includes all the consulting physicians, Super-specialists, Subspecialist of Nashik. As the city is in the golden triangle in the map of Maharashtra, the association is also very unique in its nature, progressing faster for its development in academic activities, which is its main aim.

The History goes back to 30 years back ago, as it was founded by the dynamic, eminent & the first consultant physician. Dr. Shrikant R. Kelkar, who is famous by his nick name "Bhau" to all the physicians of Nashik & Dr. Prakash H. Joshi first consultant Gastroenterologist of Nashik, who had also served at the very prestigious Institute, Bombay Hospital of Mumbai with other sixteen founder members.

The aim & objectives of this association is to enhance the knowledge of advances in the field of Medicine, to practice the Science of Medicine in all ways & to encourage the research & experimental work in this filed. Many reknowned faculties & Stallwards from different field of Medicines had come for guest lectures for API Nashik.

The organization got officially Registration through charity commission of Nashik in 2010 under the dynamic leadership of present API Nashik president Dr. Narayan Deogaonkar with wide Reg. Nashik is an ancient holy city in Maharashtra, a state in western India. It’s known for its links to the “Ramayana” epic poem. On the Godavari River is Panchavati, a temple complex. Nearby, Lord Rama was thought to have bathed at Ram Kund water tank, today attended by Hindu devotees. Shri Kalaram Sansthan Mandir is an ancient shrine to Rama, while Rama and Sita are said to have worshipped at Sita Gufaa caves. Nasik is well known for being one of Hindu pilgrimage sites, that of Kumbh Mela which is held every 12 years. It is the fourth largest city in Maharashtra after Mumbai, Pune and Nagpur. The city located about 190 km north of state capital Mumbai, is called the "Wine Capital of India" as half of India’s vineyards and wineries are located in Nashik. In February 2016, The Statue of Ahimsa, a 108 ft idol of first Jain tirthankara Rishabhdev carved in monolithic stone was consecrated at Mangi Tungi. It is recorded in the Guinness Book of World Records as the tallest Jain idol in the world.

s ndThe Pandavleni Caves, or Nasik caves, are a group of 24 caves carved between the 1 t century BCE and the 2 century CE,[24] representing the Hinayana Buddhist caves and. Most of the caves are Viharas except for the 18th cave which is a Chaitya.
