Shri loaquim T. Monteiro, Carpentry Instructor in Govt. Technical High School Centre, Panaji had proceeded on 30 days EarnedLeave with effect from 6-7-1993 to 4-8-1993 on the pretext to take his mother to Bombay. Thereafter, ShriMonteiro submitted an application to the: Super­intendent, Govt. Technical High School Centre, Panaji for further exten­sion of his Earried Leavefrom 5-8-1993 on grounds that his mOiher is still under treatment in Bombay. The Superintendent, Govt. Technical High, School Centre, Panaji, rejected his request for extension of leave and directed him to join duties in the School immediately as the teaching work in the TeChnical High School Centre had badly suffered and,as his presence was badly required to conduct practicial classes in the Carpentry Workshop. Shri Monteiro has however failed to report for duties in the School, upto this date, despite the instructions from his superior authori­ties. This act of Shri Monteiro shows his negligence towards his duties, which is in clear Contravention of C. C:S. Conduct Rules thereby making his liable to face disciplinary action.

Further, the Memorandum No. 15-30-(25)-87-Adm. 1/99 dated 22-9-1994, sent to him by the undersigned, by Registered Post A. -D. in his last known residential address, has been returned by the postal autlIorlties with the endorsement "Unclaimed, return to Sender."

Shri Joaquim T. Monteiro, is therefore hereby directed to report for duties in the Technical High School Centre, Panaji, within fifteen days from the date of publication of this Memorandum in the Official Gazette, failing which he will be liable to face disciplinary action.

-Recruitment Rules, 1986 published in the Official Gazette Series I, No.4 dated 24-4-1986 under Notification No. 10/47/85-DMA (Vol. 1) Dated 10-3-1986.

1. Short title and commencement. - These Rules may be called Goa, Daman and Diu Municipalities Group 'c' and 'D' (Ministerial and Non­Ministerial, Non-Gazetted) posts Recruitment Rules, 1994 (Eight Amend­ment).

(ii) They shall come into force at once.

2. Ame';dment to schedule attached to the above Rules.- (i) the pay scale prescribed under Column number 4 in the said schedule shall be in accordance with the pay scale prescribed by the State GovernIl}.ent on the recommendation of IV th Pay Commission for all categories of the posts mentioned therein)

(ii) Under column No. 11 agairlst serial number 9, the existing entry shall be substituted as under:- '
