PROPOSITION NO. I (Electric System & Plant Improvement)
Shall the City of Anchorage, Alaska, incur indebtedness and issue electric utility revenue bonds in an amount not to exceed Ten Million Dollars ($10,000,000) for the following purposes: Construction of all necessary buildings and additions to buildings and purchase all necessary equipment, appliances, fixtures and all other appurtenances; modifying, improving and extending the present electric system and _plant inside and outside the City, and otherwise doing all that is necessary to expand, improve and extend the City owned electric utility system. All said electric utility revenue bonds shall mature within a period not to exceed twenty-five (25) years from the date of issue and bear interest at a rate not to exceed eight and one-half percentum (8½ % ) per annum and shall be payable solely from the unpledged revenue derived from the electric utility system of the City of Anchorage.
