Do business locally is the key…….
There are so many businesses in our area that are so great. Lucretia Hudzinski, Executive Director
“They are the best in the universe.” (quote from William Pas-
tella, Merrill Lynch and Past President)
Hello-
I would just like to show my appreciation a new Chamber member that I was able
to utilize. John from Green Light Courier, Inc. was a pleasure to work
with. I had to have 1600 booklets delivered to Cortland and not only did he give
me a great price on courier service, but he was at my office to pick up the ship-
ment the next day. I would definitely recommend him for any courier needs you or
your company may have!

Technology Tips To Help Your Business Grow
Computer running slowly?
Here's a couple of ideas...
1) Run Disk Defragmenter. Fragmentation makes the hard
disk do extra work that slows
down your computer. Disk
'defragging' rearranges data so
disks and drives can work more
efficiently. I recommend
defragging about once a month.
This might take from several
minutes to a few hours to com-
plete, depending on the amount of
defragging needed, so it is best to
do it when you will be away from
the computer, at night, or at the
end of the work day.
2) Delete your temporary inter-
net files from Internet Explorer. Delete temporary files by check-
ing a box under Tools and then
Internet Options "Delete browsing
history on exit." Internet Explorer,
and other browsers, will cache
(store) files locally and then
search the local cache before
downloading them from the inter-
net. High speed internet search
results create thousands of tempo-
rary internet files being stored on
your computer every day. Imagine
how many files your computer
searches through after months of
surfing.

New Information to Help Your Business
Helpful hints to grow your business… We welcome submissions and comments
“Who is your business’ best prospect?”
By John Hunt, General Sales Manager, WOLF 105.1, Movin
100.3/96.5, 95.3/103.9 The Dinosaur And Fox Sports 1490AM
Many business owners believe “everyone” can benefit from using their prod-ucts and services. However, most local, small businesses do not have the time or resources to reach “everyone” in an efficient or effective marketing campaign. Sometimes, a great strategy targets specific consumer groups and demographics in order to maximize the marketing dollar.
Why not target everyone? Your message needs to be heard repeatedly by the best prospects for your business. After all, people learn through repetition, right? Those prospects can NOT always be “everyone.” Check your business transactions and cus-tomer list over the last quarter. If possible, look at the demographics of your customers. What are their stories? Why did they choose your business over your competitors?
The Pareto Principle or 80/20 Rule 80% of your overall business will come from 20% of your client base. What are their stories? Are they Baby Boomers, people in their 50’s? Are they Millennials, people in their 20’s? This 20 year difference in the generations is enough of a gap that your business might consider targeting those groups with separate strategies. What county or town are they from? Are they more likely to be women or more likely to be men? Take a good and objective look at who that prospect is. What would happen if your business told your story to more people that are easy for you to do business with?
Why does the business need more? Increasing your customer base to include more people that benefit the best from working with your business will increase the overall health of your busi-ness. Plus, if that 20% of the client base is supporting 80% of the business, what would happen with more transactions like that?
Why limit my business prospects to only those? Transactional business will come to you, don’t deny your business those sales. Focusing your marketing resources on your best and most profitable prospects will position your business to capture more market share. This not only positions your business for market share growth, but DEFENDS the market share your business has worked so hard to attract! Not sure what your best selling or most profitable prospect looks like? Let’s discuss your business’ best prospects at no obligation…

Benefits of Massage(Excerpts)
Originally published in Body Sense magazine, Fall 2001.

als. All rights reserved.
But what if that hour of massage did more for you than just take
the pressures of the day away? What if that gentle, Swedish mas-
sage helped you combat cancer? What if bodywork helped you
recover from a strained hamstring in half the time? What if your
sleep, digestion and mood all improved with massage and body-
work? What if these weren't just "what ifs"?
Massage as a healing tool has been around for thousands of years
in many cultures. Touching is a natural human reaction to pain and
stress, and for conveying compassion and support. Healers
throughout time and throughout the world have instinctually and
independently developed a wide range of therapeutic techniques
using touch. We now have scientific proof of the benefits of mas-
sage - benefits ranging from treating chronic diseases and injuries
to alleviating the growing tensions of our modern lifestyles. Hav-
ing a massage does more than just relax your body and mind -
there are specific physiological and psychological changes which
occur, even more so when massage is utilized as a preventative,
frequent therapy and not simply mere luxury. Massage not only
feels good, but it can cure what ails you.

How does anyone know if they need estate
planning? It’s simple, every adult needs
estate planning. The question is what
kind? Estate planning is not about how
much money you have, it’s about protect-

It ensures what you have, gets to the peo-
