I interviewed my grandma she is a Russian orthodox. She female, her age is 67,she came to united states when she was 24 years old, she has 12 kids,9 boys and 3 girls. she has been in American for 47 years. she Lived in turkey but came to the U.S.

The reason I came to America is because the families who lived in turkey were mostly related. So when the children when they grew up it was herd to married to some one else then your family. No she said it was very easy to get to the united states. her impressions were she thought it was beautiful the united states would be, we’ve heard many story’s about America. when she got here she saw that it was a beautiful country. And when I saw prosperous it was, very extending.

Life beforeA typical day in turkey was… is she will wake up in the morning take care of the children, feed the animals wash the clothes by hand. And other hard the things we were very poor also there were very few families to get married too. The best about living there was the live was more simple. And the religion was easier to hold onto. if I lived in turkey I well I think it was Hard because I like to eat ,and not work on the farm.
