THOMAS V. GRIMES

Mr. Grimes is the Radiation Safety Officer for Thielsch Engineering, Inc. He

has the Radiation Safety responsibility for the licenses for the Analytical X Ray

Machine, the Nuclear Moisture Density Troxlers, the 300 KV X Ray Machine and the

Colbalt 60 and Iridium 192 Istopes.

Mr. Grimes is fully qualified to the requirements of the American Society for

Nondestructive 'resting document SNT-TC-1A as a level I1 inspector in the disciplines

of MT, PT, UT, E:T, RT and VT. He is also a certified Welding Inspector in accordance

with the American Welding Society and is ASNT IRRSP RT certified.

Mr. Grimes has performed nondestructive testing in numerous Power Plants

around the country on boilers, main steam piping, pressure vessels, tanks and

turbines.

Mr. Grimes has also performed nondestructive testing on dryer can shells,

dryer can heads, bolts and performed internal inspections on dryer cans in Paper Mills

throughout the country. Other inspections performed are structural bridge

inspections, concrete inspections, structural steel inspections and soil testing.

Prior experience includes 18 years in Structural Steel Fabrication,

Nondestructive Testing and Cost Estimating as a Contract Change Analyst at General

Dynamics.

Mr. Grimes nondestructive examinations have been performed to the codes

and standards issued by ASME, ANSI, AWS, ASTM, API, ASNT, AEROSPACE

APPLICATIONS, MIL STD 271 and various other Military Specifications.

Mr. Grimes completed educational training at Uconn in Connecticut for three

years while in a apprenticeship program at General Dynamics and also completed

training for MT, PT and ET nondestructive methods at General Dynamics in

Connecticut. Mr. Grimes also received other training form Hellier Associates in

Connecticut for UT, RT, and ET, a RT Safety course at Amersham in Burlington, MA,

a Nuclear Moisture Density Equipment course from Q/C Resources in Connecticut

and PT and RT at Thielsch Engineering, Inc. in Rhode Island. He is a member of the

American Sockity for Nondestructive Testing and the American Welding Society.
