For anyone on a complex pill regime, taking the right dose of prescribed medication at the right time can be confusing and difficult. Not taking medication as prescribed can have major consequences, particularly if the person is older or vulnerable. The Pivotell Advance GSM dispenser presents the correct dose to the user at the dosage time, all other medication is safely locked in the dispenser out of sight. The dispenser can be easily filled and programmed. At the pre-programmed dosage times the dispenser medication tray rotates, the alarm signal is heard, the light flashes and the correct dosage comes into view through the opening in the lid. The dispenser will send text and e-mail alerts to family members if medication has not been dispensed from the device at the medication time so that appropriate action can be taken to check on the wellbeing of the individual before a potentially adverse event occurs. Now, using the Jointly app, families can receive and store these messages in one place and share them with everyone involved in someone’s care.
