1. Comp::lrw Profile:
RVUN wa s incorporated in June, 2000 as a wholly owned Government Company of thp Gov~rnment of Rajasthan under the power sector reforms undertaken by the State Government. The present
Installed capacity of RVUN is 5957.35 M\.i\I. RVUN is also managing inter-state projects of 271 MW
capacity. There are 6 ongoing projects of RVUN of 2800 MW capacity targeted to be commissioned
by Jan 2017 - June 2018. Its registered office is located at Vidyut Bhawan, Jyoti Nagar, Jaipur .
2. Job Description and Responsibilities:
The Chairman and Managing Director is the Chief Executive of the Corporation and accountable to
its Board of Directors and Government. He is ' responsible for the efficient functioning of the
Corporation for achieving its corporate objectives and performance parameters. Government of
Raja sthan rld~ decided to part disinvest the RVUNL and so one of the main tasks of the CMD will be
to ensure pilrt disinvestmen~/disinvestment of some of the pl ;:Jnt of RVUN L. The job is based in
Jaipur .
3. Age as on 1S( April 2016 (d3te of vacancy) shall be minimum 45 years and maximum 58 years.
However, for the working employees of rWUN, the maximum age limit will be 60 years. The age of
superannuation is 60 Ve3rs .
4. Qualification & Exper:ence: (A) The applicant should be a graciuate from a recognized university/institution with good academic
record. He should possess adequate experience at a senior level of i11anagement in a large
organi sation of repute. Persons wit,l Technical/MBA qualifications and having familiarity with
Finance/ Marketing/Production/Project Management will have added advantage. Experience in
power generation Industry is desirable.
(B) In addition, the applicant shall be a person who has experience of and shown capacity in :
(i) Design,construction, operation arrj maintenance of generating stations;
(ii) Transmission and supply of electricity;
(iii) Applied economics;
(iv) Organizing workers;
(v) Industrial, commercial or financial matters; or
(vi) Administration in a Government Department or other establishment. Page 1 of 2

(e) The officers working in the State PSUs / Central PSUs should, on the date of advertisement, be
working at least in the post of Chief Engineer / Whole Time Director or equivalent post in an organization of the size and repute as that of RVUI\l.
(0) Officers of the Central Government / State Government / All India Services should, on the date of
application, be in t're pay-scale / rank of the level of Joint Secretary in Government of India / Secretary in Government of Rajasthan or higher.
(E) Private Sector applicants should possess at least 25 years of post qualification experience in an
organization of the size and repute as that of RVUN, Ollt of which atleast 3 years should be at a CEO level.
5. Emoluments:
(A) iile ~eiellet.i ci:llluidate from State PSUs / Central ;--:;Us shall be placed in the Running Pay Band PB
4 37400-67000 with grade pay of Rs.I0,OOO/- OR their present drawn salary, whichever is higher,
plus other benefits as admissible.
(8) The selected candidate from Central Government / Ali ;ndia Services shall be given their present
drawn salary plus other benefits as admissible.
(C) Selected candidate from Private Sector shall be placed in PB-4 with GP Rs.10,OOO/- OR their present
drawn salary, whichever is higher, plus other benefits as admissible.
6. Durat!on of Appointment shall be for a period not exceeding five years. However, in case successful
c(lndidate attains superannuation i.e., 60 years age before completion of 5 years, his /her tenure
can be extended for a further period, as may be decided by the Government of Rajasthan.
7. Submission of App!ications:
(A) ,'\P!lliPtions must be accompanied by a CV of the appiicant. along with a brief note, not exceeding
2 pages of A4 SiZE, Oil 2ny outstanding achievclnents made in the career and his/her visior for the
development of RVUN /Power sector as a whole irl Rajasthan / India.
(B) Prospective candidates from the CPSUs and Government Officers shall submit their aprlications,
through proper channel.
(C) Search-cum-Selection Committee may also make nominations of eligible and qualified candidates
for the post. The Committee may also recommend relaxation in the eligibility and
qualifications/experience criteria enumerated as above in respect of Outstanding Candidates.
(0) The application along with all required enclosures in a sealed envelope and marked confidential on
