<e reahed the '"O offie off osur 'oad at a&out 11 am on onday morning. "he sene wasyour typial government offie haos. Crowds of people milling a&out and a few others who

ouldn7t have looked more like "outs had they worn &right orange uniforms with the words

% left my wife in the :ueue for proessing learners liense and tried to navigate my way throughthe rowds of people and &ad furniture. ?ukily % spotted what was possi&ly the @%nformation7

ounter and a lady &ehind it. 0tep O aomplished.

"he lady was polite to the point and informative. 0he direted me to pay the fees at the ashounter. On to the ash ounter where the person &ehind it asked me if the %nspetor had

heked my papers. =No= % said sadly whereupon he told me to do this first.

 Now it was time to go to the %nspetor. "his is pro&a&ly where things fall apart % told myself as% waited. % did have to wait for a &it ourtesy a lady who o&viously thought that order of servie

 pushing shoving and ontinuously thrusting my papers in front of the %nspetors nose later hesanned through my papers. =<here7s the 6nvelopeD= he &arked. =)ttah a 0)06 to the

 papers= he ontinued. *urther :uestions were out of the :uestion 2 he7d already turned his

attention to the ne$t set of papers thrust under his nose.0o off % went out of the '"O to the shop ne$t door whih onveniently sells 8uies 0)06s and

does photoopying. 's. 35 and ! minutes later % was &ak at the '"O a 0)06 with my address

neatly written on it in hand.One more time of waiting at the %nspetors ounter 2 this time slightly longer as he had a &unh

of papers all neatly stapled in front of him whih he was signing with surprising speed and even

more surprising lak of onern on the papers propriety. *inally he looked at my papers

admonished me for not arranging them properly they were not neatly stapled &ut pinnedlumsily together and then srawled his oh2so2valua&le signature on them.

Bak to the ash ounter where payment of the 's. 1-- fee took 8ust a few seonds. Bak one

again to the %nspetors desk this time with the reeipt. 0ame old suffles &ut at the end of thatmy papers finally landed 2 with the %nspetors &lessings 2 at the ne$t ounter where % was told

someone would proess them. "his someone 2 a lady 2 was off on a tea / offee / &io &reak and

took 15 long minutes to return. %n the meantime someone ame and dumped another huge &unh of unending sets of papers on her desk presuma&ly for her to speed2sign as well.

*inally the lady ame &ak and lukily for me took my papers first &efore attaking the &unh.
