Hypertension (HTN) or high blood pressure is a chronic medical condition in which the blood pressure in the arteries is elevated.

Symptoms of Hypertension

Chronic headaches

Dizziness or Vertigo

Blurry or double vision

Nausea

Shortness of breath

Heart palpitations

Urinate often

Nosebleeds

Appropriate Balance Diet

Reduce intake of sodium (salt)

Eat more fruits and vegetables

Take more low-fat dairy foods, increase the intake of essential fatty acids (omega 3 & 6)

Avoid food that is high in cholesterol (seafood)

Food that is rich in potassium (asparagus, potato)

Food that is rich in calcium (almonds)
