Blow the Horn,Let Zion Hear!

Verse 1

Blow the horn let Zion hear,

for God’s day is now at hand;

Let the peopletremble in thisday of clouds

and gloominess;

Troops so greatand mighty strong,

there has never been the like;

Nothing shall escape as they

devour the stubble on their way

Verse 2

Fire before them shall devour,flames ablaze

are left behind;

Such as Edomwas shall become

a wildernessthat’s desolate;

Like the noise of chariots;

and as horsemendo they run;

Nothing shall escape as they

devour the stubble on their way

Verse 3

People are faintat their sight,for they run

like mighty men,

Moving eachon his own way

they do not tanglein their paths,

Each does followhis own line,

climbing wallslike men of war;

Then they chargeas warriors

and advance like fighters on their way.

Last Verse

They upon the city leap,break thru weapons

each unharmed;

Run upon the wallsand climb in houses

thru the windows leap;

Earth is quakingas they come,

heavens shake, stars cease to shine;

Then the Eternal thundersand the sun and moon

become both black!
