Weatherford’s 14-100 hydraulic power tong provides100,000 ft-lb (135,600 ) of torque capacity for running andpulling 3 1/2- to 14-in. casing. At the heart of the tong is a uniquegated rotary that completely encircles the casing, distributinggripping forces over a greater area and ensuring a positive grip

’without damaging the casing. Features such as Weatherford s1 ®patented   Micro-Grip   system and free-floating hydraulic backup

help to ensure proper connection   makeup and long-termwellbore integrity. For added safety, the hydraulic door interlockprevents tong operation while the doors are open or unlatched.

The 14-100 tong is capable of fully mechanized remoteoperation or semi-mechanized operation. The tong is completelycompatible with all of Weatherford’s automated tong-positioning

®systems, including the patent-pending PowerFrame   and2 ®p a t e nt e d P o w e rS c o p e   systems.
