1 Introduction

The series hydraulic module is designed for air-cooled modular chiller unit, it has two pumps, one of them is backup. The water

pump can be automatic switching under failure (malfunction shifting). It is the use of the hydraulic system module integration

solutions, is a completely prefabricated sets strict monitoring of products, with a pump, valve, automatic replenishment, safety

components, bypass components, drain dirty sewage and control system, etc. For water cycle, constant pressure to supply water

for all water media transportation, for industrial, commercial and residential buildings, it is the best choice for water distribution

systems.

Capacity range:

Applies to air-cooled modular chiller from 25Kw to 1040Kw.

2 Feature

2.1 Backup function

Two pumps built-in, one of them is backup. It can be automatically switched between two pumps in failure.

2.2 High-class main components

For main components, dustproof and waterproof designed, they have tested at 100 over 1000 hours. For the pipe, adopts ℃

brass, stainless steel or metal with special coating and anti-rust treatment.

2.3 Good performance

Max flow of Single Pump: 200m3/h, water pumper runs more quietly and more

efficiently.

2.4 Easy installation and maintenance

The unit can be installed indoor and outdoor, suit for different customer’s

requirement. There are screw connecting and flange connecting, convenient

for connecting.

2.5 Save the installation space and cost.

Integrated design, covering area is too less. Intelligent control, it saves energy

more than 30% than traditional.

For air-cooled modular chiller, it’s no need of expansion tank.

2.6 Convenient operating, humanization design.

The electric control cabinet can be separated from the unit to install, more

convenient operating for user without nearby the unit.

It consists of reducing valve, stainless steel filter, stop valve and check valve. The automatic replenishment valve consists

reduced pressure and stable pressure device, the pressure value can be automatically adjusted and kept, which according to

pressure gauge and the replenishment valve scale, when the system pressure is low, it will be automatically opened to filling

water, automatically close when the pressure up to setting value, avoid to damage system device cause of high pressure.

Maximum pressure of inlet water:10 bar

The pressure adjustment range:0.5~4 bar

Setting pressure in plant:1.5 bar

The motor safety class is IP54, insulation class is F.

14 Trouble shooting

Phase sequence

XJ3-G type(One light):The light

is red or off.

XJ3-D type(Three lights):The

light will be on if phase failure or

break.

① Exchange two wires of them.

② Check whether the circuit is

loose, please connect it again if yes.

Over/low voltage

protection

Power supply is normal, pump

didn’t start, the light for over/low

voltage is on.

The voltage is unstable.

The protection function will be

automatically remove after voltage

return to normal.

The power supply is normal,

linkage and manual didn’t start

After cut off power supply, replace

2. Installation introduction and key points:

(1) Project operating instruction:

○1 .Position:

It can be laid out flexibly in the basement, roof, garage and outdoor machine room, covering an area down to 0.37 m2. Do not

take up the user indoor area. It can also be placed in the open air. It has unique waterproof casing design, which is specially

designed for the layout of outdoor equipment group.

○2 .Foundation:

Hydraulic module has own foundation.

Placement requirements:The ground must be flat and have a slope of 0.5%; around the ground all around the foundation should

be well-drained, and shall not have seeper in case of water accumulation is too deeper to affect the units. Please ensure that

circulation performance of the filtering device is good, well-drained and no water accumulated. The load bearing of ground should

be designed according to the calculation of conventional additional load; Without special demand,please provide the hydraulic

module and each type weight.

The table contains the dimension of installation.

○3 .Hoisting emplacement:

If set on rooftop,hydraulic module will set a supporting point at the bottom,which can undertake hoisting carrying capability. If set

indoor, it only needs to configure a trailer, drag it to indoor location specified. Please provide sizes and weights of each type of

hydraulic module, convenient to hoist and make a hole in place. Please keep the body in good packaging before installation.

Please take care of handling, guarantee the body which is vertical and have a slope less than 15 °. Please avoid hitting other

objects when installing, and put it placidly to avoid sliding.

○4 .Pipe installation:

Provide pipe installation schematic drawing, and the name of connection orifice should be shown at the position of waterpower

module orifice, convenient to connect system pipeline. Less than HM80 modules, please obligate threaded interface, HM80 and

above module obligate flange interface.

○5 .Damping and flexible connection:

Hydraulic module has own dual damping device. When being positioned and installed, no module considers damping. Hydraulic

module and the pipeline system for hose connection, metal flexible duct for less than HM80 module will be provided by factory,

the length can be customized, convenient to be connected. For HM80 and above module, the flexible joints was configured inside

hydraulic module in factory, there is no consideration when installing.

○6 .Pressure testing:

Manufactured products has a strict strength and leak testing before leaving factory; The proposal testing pressure does not

exceed 0.8 MPa. After finished installation, will be tested for system and fully pipeline together, please take down the safety valve

(4bar)inside module and close the system by stopple. Please reinstall safety valve back after pressure testing.

○7 . Trial run:

Electric principle diagram will be provided, there are observation failure indicators in the electric control cabinets, understand

module and system operating conditions by visual observation. Please clean well the pipeline, and before trial run, turn on the

drainage valve for filtering component of the module and check pipeline cleaning status.

○8 . Acceptance:

Make sure the linkage with the main unit device is normal, confirm the action of flow switch, confirm the operation status of pump,

confirm the visual value on the hydraulic module dial is normal or not, and confirm whether the phase sequence protection,

water-lacking protection, overload protection and other functions are normal.

3. Special attention:

(1). Pay more attention to protect the units which is safe, as can as keep moving and placing smoothly, confirm equipment is not

damaged.

(2). Electric mounting must be done with the supervision of qualified electrician. Electrical installation and wiring must meet the

relevant standards.

(3). The power wire of units and signal wire must be separated ,it cannot parallel to the wiring, otherwise it will not make the units

working normal.

(4). When installation and using process, should beware of electric shock.

4. Transfer and installation site

(1).Please sure the reliability of hoisting equipment before transfer. Do not use shabby hoisting equipment.

(2) Please determine the correct transfer route before transfer. Try to reduce transfer times and transfer the fully machine unit to

prevent the external structure damaged in transfer.

(3) Please do not tear down the packing of the hydraulic modular before arriving installation position. Be careful not to scratch the

units if it must be dismantled. Lifting should be done as the packing direction and added two guard plates, in case of damage or

deformation.

(4) When suspension machine to moving, please use the flexible sling in order to protect the unit from damage and scratch.

(5) Please carry the products together with external package in consider of protection. If it has to be opened, please use

protecting templates or cardboard to protect units.

(6) For safety, please move slowly when using chain pulleys to lift and transfer.

(7) Please do not touch such objects as the wall, column, door, lamps and so on to avoid damage to the machine.

(8) When moving on the ground, please use roller to doing traction assignments, and ensure that there is at least four rollers to

work together.

(9). While units are in handling or moving, please try to remain horizontal and never tilt the product above 15o.

(10).The unit can be installed on the rooftop, the balcony or outside the yard .It should be noticed whether the bearing surface is

sufficient strength to withstand the weight when the unit operates. The field intensity must be strong enough, not easy to cause

resonance and noise.

(11).The unit should not be installed in the occasion filled with dust, pollutants, corrosive gas and humidity.

(12). In the occasion for unit installations, enough space must be kept for cooling and convenient to installation and maintenance

person to pass through.

(13).Keep the ambient temperature surrounding the units between 0 ~ 40℃, never more than RH75 %. Please keep sufficient

ventilation and less dust.

5. Power supply of unit distribution

(1). The power supply of the unit must be connected (switching-on) strictly on the basis of electric requirements. Please do not

sharing a power lines with other appliances.

(2). Please ensure that the unit is reliably grounded, prevent leakage accidents when installing.

(3). Operating power supply

Allow ◆ voltage range: rated voltage ±10%

Allow frequency range◆ :Rated frequency ±2%

Allow three◆ -phase voltage unbalance:±2%

Allow three current imbalance: ◆ ± 5%

(4). Power supply of unit distribution (the distribution of the unit) must be connected strictly on the basis of Hydraulic module

circuit diagram (seen in distribution box cover opposite) in order to ensure proper operation.

User connecting: L1, L2, L3, N, all of others are wired in plant (Please refer to the wiring diagram on page 9).

(5). Electric parameter of the unit nameplates is the quantitative value under standard running conditions. The selection of

miniature circuit breaker, AC contactor, wiring capacity and so on has been considered while the machine is operating under the

harsh conditions.

(6). System control consists of electric control cabinet, temperature sensor, flow switch and so on.

(7). Control box can realize linkage and connected controlling through active contact, passive contact and any kind of central

air-conditioner main unit. What’s more, it can control the operation of corresponding pump and fan by receiving operating signal.

(8). According to (on the basic of) the different selection of the customers, various types of product in the control cabinet are

provided to meet the demand of customers. For example, the type with simple and dual pump with frequency conversion control

system, the type with fix frequency control system and remote communication control system and so on.

.6 Starting- up the first time

(1)Preparation

○1 Check the status of all valves.

○2 Check whether the water are full.

○3 Check all wiring is correct.

(2). Starting-up and checking

◆ Switch on general power supply.

Check whether the units' phase sequence is correct.◆

Attention!

Frequently start-up would impact the lifespan of unit. Strongly recommend: When the units started up, do not frequently start or

stop the units. Do not dump directly if it's out of necessary.

7. Commissioning

(1). Check whether the unit is well earthed.

(2). Check whether the air-conditioning and earth source recycle system are filled with water, whether the pipeline is emptied, the

replenishing water valve is on or not.

(3). Check whether all valves of pipeline are on correct status.

(4). Check whether the voltage of power supply is correct.

(5). Check whether the main pressure gauge is normal.

(6). Check whether the terminal equipment operate normally.

(7). Start up the water pump and confirm its running direction firstly. Check whether the water flow switch is normal. Check the

replenishing water source and turn on the exhausting valve to empty air in pipeline.

(8). After finished checking water pump and water system, start to the running testing. Before starting the unit, please check

whether the power supply is normal. After that, please record the temperature and pressure from all points pipeline. 8. Safety.

(1). If find the phenomenon as below, please quickly stop the machine, cut off power supply, check it and repaired.

A. The motor’s current is more than rated current 10% or more for a long time.

B. The unit stops running automatically and can't restore automatically by itself.

C. Can ‘t start up the units or difficultly.

(2).When the unit is in plant, different labels are pasted on the related position, please strictly comply the rules

(3). Prohibit operating all switches frequently.

(4). Don’t cut off main unit’s power supply in running time.

9. Maintenance

(1). The units have been tested strictly in plant and are in the best working condition. Please do not adjust it again.

(2). After trial running 24 hours, need to be cleaned the filter at inlet of the pump.

(3). Prohibit operating all switches frequently.

(4). Must be cut off power supply if do not use the machine for a long time.

(5). Special attentions in winter: When the ambient temp. is less than 0 ,℃ please check the heating preservation regularity, do not

cut off power supply. When no use long time in the winter, please empty the system pipeline to prevent the pipe chilled.

(6). The unit should be operated and maintained by specified person. Please stop it quickly if abnormal thing was found, find out

the reason and remove malfunction. Prohibit the machine running with trouble.
