6.2) Working sequence:

6.2.1) Posioning the logPosion the log to be split on the worktable. Before starng the cung cycle, make sure that the log sits firmly on the machine table.

If the log is badly posioned it may cause a hazard, so always make sure that it sits perfectly on the worktable. Be parcularly careful when handling curved logs.

6.2.2) Cut:

Pull both levers towards the operator at the same me. The Wl10 MULTIPLA XL log splier is equipped with variable speed cylinder operaon (regenerave circuit).

a) Pulling the operaonal levers as short a stroke as possible causes maximum cung speed but with lower power;

b) Pulling the levers as long a stroke as possible causes reduced cung speed but maximum power; For best operang pracces, the lever operaon must be modulated even during the cung operaons. The machine safety system will not allow the blade rod to close if only one of the control levers is being pulled. The release of even one lever will cause the rod to stop immediately where it is. The release of both levers causes the blade rod to return immediately to the fully open posion. The machine is built in such a way as to stop the blade at the stroke end, at approximately 6cm from the blade. Once the blade has returned to its rest posion, the cung operaon is completed.

6.2.3) New cycle:

When the control levers are released, the blade automacally returns to its starng posion (fully open). Before starng a new cycle, make sure that the work area is cleared of wood splinters and residues. At this point another log can be loaded on the worktable and the cycle can begin again, starng from point 6.2.1. The log splier WL10 MULTIPLA XL is equipped with an anlog- return device (A) wich lets the wedge free, if this is driven in the log during the return-phase.

6.4.1) Stopping the motor (electric powered models):

To stop the motor, press the buon on the switch.

!! Never stop the motor when it is under pressure.

!! Do not exert prolonged blade pressure on a log that will not split. Prolonged pressure will cause the hydraulic circuit

and the motor to overheat. Return the blade to the cycle start posion, turn the log 90° and repeat the cung cycle.

6.4.2) Stopping the machine (models powered by tractor p.t.o.):

Reduce the p.t.o. rotaon speed gradually unl it stops.

!! Avoid jerky variaons in the p.t.o. rpm, as this could damage the

overgear – pump unit.

6.5) Adjusng the wedge stroke

For cung short logs and speeding up the work, the wedge stroke can be adjusted by sliding the small cylinder (D) and locking it into place on one of the holes made in the rod (C) inserng the split pin (B). Make the adjustment with the wedge in the far end of the stroke.
