Sun Ministries came to Hyde Park in 2009

A Missions Organization relocating missionaries to the neighborhood

Looking to take the underprivileged in the area and help them become employed, more skilled and educated, and home owners.

Employs people from the neighborhood who have been homeless, addicted, incarcerated or face serious employment

Housing provided for some participants.

Missionaries work with the participants to overcome obstacles.

Missionaries are taught to Pastor the community - fix what we see broken - includes utilizing existing city services, organizing volunteer groups, utilizing community space to build relationships.

Mission: Links works to connect the neighbor(s) to the neighborhood. Through collaboration, advocacy, engagement and evaluation, Links will work to connect a “village” of support around individuals and families desiring opportunities for a better tomorrow.

2. Knit together existing support systems into a more effective delivery system.

4. Identify the true needs of the individuals that make up the community through one-on-one interviews and ongoing conversation
