Hya Park Elementary School September 28, 2020 Volume 5 Issue 2 A Note from the Principal: How I love the cooler fall weather!! Even in the midst of our pandemic, the fall foliage con- tinues to be beautiful with the orange and yellow leaves. We are so appreciative of our parents as you continue encouraging our students to be on time for instruction each day and assuring they remain tuned in for the entire school day. We will begin call outsto our students that are doing their work and staying focused, so be on the lookout for information on this from Ms. James, our School Counselor. Your student may be in for a special visit and treat! Thanks for your willingness to work with us as we continue to establish procedures here at Hyatt Park in our ELearning/Virtual environment. Not sure where the month of September went!!! We welcome October here on Thursday. A reminder that interim reports will be mailed this week. Feel free to log in to Parent Portal any time to check your child s grades. If you have not, please make sure you are setting goals with your children for this school year. A reminder to parents that our day begins promptly at 8:30am. Students not logged in by 8:40 are considered tardy. We dont want them missing out on quality instructional time. I ask that you encourage your children to be on their personal bestbehavior each day to as- sure that we take every opportunity to capitalize on our teaching time. As we plan for Phase II, which is the Hybrid model that includes at least two days of face to face instruction, we are asking parents to make sure to register for transportation if your child will be a bus rider for the 2020-21 school year. Though we do not have a definite date, we are making plans now. We will have our first Virtual PTO/SIC meeting on Monday, October 12th. Please be on the lookout for information on how to access that meeting. We will also hold our Annual Title One meeting at that time. Dont hesitate to contact me with any questions or concerns that you may have. We remain committed to quality teaching and learning! We are Hyatt Park and our Mission is Possible!Dr. Dell N. Brabham

A Note from the Principal:

How I love the cooler fall weather!! Even in the midst of our pandemic, the fall foliage con-tinues to be beautiful with the orange and yellow leaves.

We are so appreciative of our parents as you continue encouraging our students to be on time for instruction each day and assuring they remain tuned in for the entire school day. We will begin “call outs” to our students that are doing their work and staying focused, so be on the lookout for information on this from Ms.

Feel free to log in to Parent Portal any time to check your child’s grades. If you have not, please make sure you are setting goals with your children for this school year.

A reminder to parents that our day begins promptly at 8:30am. Students not logged in by 8:40 are considered tardy. We don’t want them missing out on quality instructional time. I ask that you encourage your children to be on their “personal best” behavior each day to as-sure that we take every opportunity to capitalize on our teaching time.

Don’t hesitate to contact me with any questions or concerns that you may have. We remain committed to “quality teaching and learning!”
