Do Now: 1) The sum of a number squared and three less than seven times a number is equal to 9 subtracted from the number

squared. Find the number.

2) A triangle has two sides of equal length. The length of the third side exceeds the length of one of the other sides by 1/4 of a foot. The perimeter of the triangle is 93 inches. Find the length of each side of the triangle.

3) Joe has 4 times as many quarters as dimes. In all, he has $2.20. How many coins of each type does he have?
