We are currently looking for parent volunteers for valet parking, vendors, parking lot assistants, concessions supervisors, and set up and clearn up help! UPDATE - DATE CHANGE for FALL SPORTS BANQUETDue to a conflict with the Seniors working Election Night, the Fall Sports Banquet has been moved to Tuesday, November 14, beginning at 6:30. On that night we would like to honor our volleyball, soccer, and equestrian teams and coaches for their hard work and dedication this season with a banquet at Joy Manor. The menu for the evening includes stuffed chicken breasts, mostaccioli, mashed potatoes and gravy, green beans, salad, bread, and ice cream sundaes. Come enjoy a night of food and fellowship as we look back on the accomplishments of our teams. The cost is $15 per adult and $10 per student. Tickets must be reserved and paid for in the school off ice by Monday, November 6 by Noon. PLEASE NOTE: No reservations will be taken after that date and time.

HVL Gym Loan Recalled
In 2005, HVL supporters made a total of $890,000 in loans for the purpose of building the HVL gymnasium. What a blessing that was! Recently we were notif ied by a generous member-loan lender that a loan of $15,000 be returned by December 30th. We wish to honor the request as quickly as possible and ask for your help. At this time HVL is seeking loans or gif ts to cover this amount. Over the past f ive years, we have received and repaid over $150,000 in loans. Each time we have communicated our need to repay a loan, Association churches and individual supporters of HVL have responded generously. Please consider making a special gif t to help us repay this loan balance. ACT Preparation for HVL
StudentsThe ACT test is given six times a year, and most students begin taking this test their junior year of high school. ACT scores are very important and are used in determining college admissions, scholarships, and even out-of-state tuit ion. For this reason, HVL has taken an active role in preparing HVL students to take the ACT test. Rome wasn't built in a day, as they say, nor can you become an expert in the SAT or ACT overnight. HVL administers ACT/SAT test preparation in a variety of methods beginning in grade 9.
1. ACT Prepworks - This is an online self-paced ACT Prep for students in grades 9-11. Completion of the program guarantees a 3 point increase to students. A Pass or Fail grade recorded on transcript.
2. ACT COMPLETE PRACTICE TEST - On Wednesday, November 22nd, a complete ACT practice test will be administered to students in grades 9-11 and the results will be sent home to parents. This is a half day of school which ends at 11:40.
3. ACT ASPIRE - ACT Practice Test administered in the spring for grades 9-10
