The future of Insulation

We safely deliver extraordinary value to our customers

Our customers

Why do our customers choose us?

Pink® is the new green!

At Fletcher Insulation® we pride ourselves on delivering extraordinary value to you, our customer. We understand that you always need to respond to your customers and, for you to deliver extraordinary value, we need to listen and respond to your needs. Key to this is high quality products, flexible product offerings and great customer service.

Our sheet metal workshop and lagging customers work in a busy project environment. Jobs arrive on the desk at any minute of the day so they need to be able to respond. They rely on good quality suppliers to face the changing needs of their clientele and therefore they need us to be flexible and to deliver good quality product in full and on time.

Similarly, our automotive customers work in a demanding ‘Just In Time’ manufacturing environment where their customers, car manufacturers, demand the best quality products lined up for immediate consumption.

Our appliance customers require a high quality product but also need local product development so they can gain competitive advantage in the market. Having a supplier who can support such strategic initiatives helps keep manufacturing in Australia.

Marine customers require us to develop insulation products that strictly comply with a number of international standards. We therefore utilise the skills of our specialists to design insulation which not only conforms to such requirements, but also adds value at job level through flexible product offerings.

Quality productWe manufacture a wide range of specialised products to cater to the insulation needs of the HVAC market. Such products include pipe lagging, foil insulation, rubber pipe insulation and high temperature sheet insulation which are all used in numerous industrial applications.

We also supply customised insulation products used by Original Equipment Manufacturers in the automotive, marine and home appliance industries. Our products are designed to conserve energy, provide a safe environment for workers and attenuate noise.

Innovation and fexible manufacturing Our company is determined to drive innovation to satisfy the ever-changing needs of our markets. Through a flexible manufacturing process, we are able to respond to changes in regulations or customer needs and therefore produce products that help our customers satisfy their customers needs.

Service matters We meet the needs of an ever changing market through innovation, product research and development. As the market leader, we provide a valuable source of information and expertise for designers and specifiers who now face stringent requirements for energy efficiency in their buildings.

Our products are specified for all aspects of residential and commercial building, air conditioning, industrial plant and process and civil works. Our Technical Service Managers have the experience and product knowledge to provide assistance to specifiers for any project that requires insulation. Our specialised Technical Service Team is here to answer your questions and can be contacted on 1800 000 878.

We recognise that service matters and therefore work to ensure customer’s needs are fulfilled by supplying product in full and on time. This in turn allows our customers to increase their efficiencies through avoiding delays due to late or insufficient delivery of product.

We manufacture and distribute world class insulation products which improves the energy efficiency of buildings and thereby helps reduce greenhouse gas emissions. We actively promote the principles of sustainability to minimise our carbon footprint and our impact on the environment. Our products provide environmental, social and economic benefits by improving public health and welfare for the occupants of the buildings we insulate.

We have invested heavily in green manufacturing processes with our Dandenong plant now utilising a cleaner, greener furnace to produce molten glass for the manufacture of glasswool insulation. Furthermore, all Fletcher Insulation® glasswool products are manufactured from 80% recycled glass thus further increasing the environmental sustainability of our manufacturing process.

HVAC and industrial product range

Semi Rigid Rolls / Semi Rigid sheetsSemi-Rigid glasswool is available in rolls or sheets making it suitable for a large range of industrial and commercial insulation applications. Its excellent thermal and acoustic properties make it ideal for lining sheet metal ductwork. Other recommended uses for Semi-Rigid glasswool include storage tanks, process vessels, appliance cabinets, electrostatic precipitators, plant rooms and in the manufacture of acoustic baffles. Semi-Rigid glasswool is also ideal for use in curtain walling, spandrel panels and under concrete slab roofs to lessen heat load in building structures.

Semi rigid is also available in a number of facing options including: l Black Matt tissuel Sisalation® Heavy Duty Foill Sisalation® Heavy Duty Perforated Foill Vapastop® 883 Aluminium Foil Tri-laminate (AFT) l AcoustiFORT weave.

Ductwrap and General Purpose insulationGeneral Purpose and Ductwrap are light weight flexible insulation blankets designed for external lagging of sheetmetal ductwork and low to medium temperature industrial equipment and appliances. They are used for applications such as air conditioning ductwork, hot water tanks, and as an effective energy saver on process vessels operating up to 340°C. These products are sufficiently flexible to wrap around sharp angles and small radii with sufficient compressive strength to maintain thickness.

Ductflex® insulationDuctflex® is a lightweight glasswool roll suitable for insulating flexible ducting of all types. The use of long, fine fibres in the manufacture of Ductflex® insulation enables the product to recover to its designed thickness even after prolonged periods of storage on a fully compressed duct.

Ducts insulated with this product will comply with the bulk insulation requirements of AS 4254 “Ductwork for Air-handling Systems in Buildings” and AS 4508-1999 including amendment 1 “Thermal Resistance of Insulation for Ductwork used in Building Air Conditioning”.

Rigid Glasswool Sheets and Acoustic BlanketRigid Glasswool Sheets and Acoustic Blanket provide an excellent balance of both thermal and acoustic insulation properties which render it suitable for a broad range of industrial applications. It is particularly suited to the mechanical services industry where design requirements dictate optimum performance from internally lined air conditioning ducts, plant room and equipment casings. In such applications Fl 48 Rigid Glasswool offers the additional benefits of high compressive strength and clean, accurate fabrication.

Hi-Temp rolls and sheetsHi-Temp rolls and sheets are designed for heavy duty industrial applications such as boilers, heat exchangers, process vessels and large bore pipes operating at temperatures up to 538°C.

High Density Equipment Insulation (HDEI) HDEI is a dense rigid glasswool sheet intended for applications requiring excellent compressive strength and high sound transmission loss.

Glasswool Sectional Pipe Insulation (SPI)Glasswool SPI is manufactured from rigid glasswool pre-moulded into one piece cylindrical sections. These sections are slit along one wall to allow the insulation to be opened and installed over piping. The high density characteristic provides excellent compression resistance and enables the product to be used at service temperatures up to 340°C. A variety of factory applied facings are available where extra protection of the outer surface or condensation control is required, including calico, aluminum foil and Sisalation® 450 foil. SPI is available in one metre lengths, faced or unfaced, and with a variety of wall thicknesses to suit standard steel pipes and copper tube from 12.7mm to 610mm.

Flexible DuctlinerFlexible Ductliner has an ideal combination of properties for use with automated sheet metal cutting and duct making machinery. It has the high resiliency of a board, while retaining enough flexibility to be used in roll form. When used in this form, a continuous length of Flexible Ductliner has the benefits of:(a) reducing wastage through being able to be cut to varying

lengths and,(b) enabling insulation of L-shaped sections by folding through

90° without cutting.

Closed Cell Rubber Piping InsulationRubber Pipe and Sheet Insulation is a flexible, fire-rated closed cell lightweight elastomeric foam material designed for insulating cold water pipes, cooling lines for air conditioning, refrigeration and plumbing installations. Rubber Pipe Insulation prevents heat gain and condensation problems on chilled water and refrigerant pipelines and also prevents heat loss from hot water plumbing, liquid and dual temperature piping. It is also an ideal insulation for frost control on cold water plumbing. The high elasticity of rubber pipe insulation minimises the vibrations and resonance of chilled water and hot water pipelines during operation.

Flexibility enables quick and easy installation on bent or irregular piping. For outdoor durability, a UV-resistance paint finish should be applied with a brush. Fl Rubber Pipe Insulation will withstand temperatures as low as -50°C and up to 105°C. For butt joint and seams contacted with adhesive, the limited temperature is up to 85°C.

DuctBoard® insulationDuctBoard® insulation is a composite product manufactured from rigid, high-density glasswool with Sisalation® foil adhered to one side. It is used to fabricate rigid ductwork that does not require sheet metal, providing a more sustainable option with in-built insulation properties for thermal, acoustic and condensation control.

Industrial Poly insulationIndustrial Poly is a polyester insulation manufactured from a special blend of polyester fibres bonded with low melt fibre. This produces a 100% polyester insulation, making the product soft and pleasant to handle.

The high density characteristic of the range provides excellent compression resistance with high acoustic and thermal performance. Industrial Poly is available with a variety of facings including plain and perforated foil.

The excellent thermal and acoustic performance of Industrial Poly makes it the ideal choice for the lining of air-conditioning and heating ductwork.
