My career goals have been the same since 1996, and that is to become a session

guitarist, composer, and music teacher. The only one I have not completed as of yet

is being session player, and NESCOM offers that path for me through their audio

program. They also offer a professional certification in Pro-Tools, which would

allow me to work in any studio around the world as engineer, and as a guitarist.

I have studied under some of the greatest studio musicians in the world such as:

Greg Howe guitarist for Michael Jackson, Justin Timberlake, and Enrique

Iglasias.

Dave Wiener, guitarist for Steve Vai for the last 12 years

Chuck Winfield Trumpet player for Blood Sweat and Tears

I learned the most about being a musician and a player outside of the college

environment, and these real life experiences in my profession has given me a good

sense of direction as to where I want to go, and how I can get there, and take others

with me.

Currently I am a musical correspondent for Music Insider Magazine where I

interview musicians, producers and composers, and we discuss their work, and the

industry. I also work with for Music Insider Magazine (MiM) in artist relations by

organizing music clinics with artists like Legendary Guitarist Robben Ford , and Rich

Redmond Drummer for Jason Aldean; both of which MiM I will be bringing to the

Bangor area within the next few months for clinics.

I will be interviewing many of the major acts that are coming to the Bangor/Orono

area, and will have full access to the greatest musicians and producers that are out

there, and so I really will have even more understanding of where I think I should go

within my career. This position allows me to funnel in, “as it were”, top name artists

into Nescom using my position at Music Insider Magazine, and hopefully continue to

build the program in the state and town that I love so much.
